Which one is better? 21st Century Breakdown or American Idiot? You decide!

21CB, by far for me, AI is my least favourite Green Day album :/

I can't decide, American Idiot was the album that made me realise just why I love this band so much. 21st Century Breakdown made me realise there's much more to Green Day than I first thought, personally they both mean a hell of a lot to me, so I can't choose.

American Idiot was the soundtrack for my middle school life.

21st Century Breakdown may as well be the soundtrack to my high school life.

I voted 21CB because when I listen to AI I skip Extraordinary Girl, and Shes A Rebel.

When I listen to 21CB I can't skip anything and I also don't have a clear favorite song.

Fuck, man, I could never choose ... I love all of Green Day's albums equally. They all mean so much to me.

American Idiot because it had a far larger impact on the music world and brought in so many new and young fans (I was in 4th grade when AI came out). It was fresh, exciting and something Green Day has never done before. A lot of people doubted them, but they pulled it off and it made them stars again.

21st Century Breakdown is a great album, but it's more of the same and the songs aren't as memorable like some of the songs from AI. Overall, both are great albums, but AI is the one that will be remembered 20 years from now.

21CB is totally epic and definitely one of Green Day's best but AI will always mean so much more to me because it was my first Green Day album and it was so life-changing for me. ande I understand the story in AI better.

Personally, I prefer American Idiot.

21st Century Breakdown is, epic I guess but there's something special about AI.

I mean it completely change my view of music (among other things).

Even though it's hard to listen to American Idiot sometimes due to overplay & I love 21CB to bits...I have to choose AI. Maybe it's that emotional connection from it being my first Green Day album, maybe it's how massive a thing it became. But in my heart, it's better. Even though musically, I'd say 21CB tops it. If that makes any sense.

After having time for 21CB to sink in, I would have to say American Idiot is better on an emotional level but on a technical level 21CB is better. However, all in all, I have to prefer American Idiot because it has that spark which connects me better to the music and lyrics better than 21CB does.
