Horseshoes and Handgrenades, I can't get over how fucking amazing this song is, seeing it live will be so great. I think it's my fav song off the album.

Are there any bonus tracks other than the first two b-sides that have leaked?

Eulogy isnt that good.

Whats up with all the repetition in the album, same solos being played twise (even in the Bsides) in the same spot (always played again in the last verse) and Singing Mass Hysteria over and over again is boring. Same with the Song of the Century reprise and those two chords in See the Light.

dude. i will agree with you that KYE was a bit repetitive, but the whole reason why the album is so good is those two chords appearing more than once on the album, and different songs coming from them, and the song of the century and the American Euology intro... its like, the album has to be heard as a whole.

Yes yes. :)

Look, when it comes down to it - genres are pointless. What it really comes down to, is do you fucking enjoy it? If you do, shup and enjoy it.

exactly.

Anyone figured out what Green Day song is playing in the intro of EJN yet?

my guess is Mass Hysteria, but i haven't heard it properly.

Everytime I hear 21 Guns I wanna cry like a baby, but I cant...Im a man :P. Its scary how much I can relate to it though!

i cry like a baby, and i dont really cry for stuff like this. but green day made me.

I'd like to hear Tre' singing once again

But he doesn't

HE SINGS ON EAST JESUS NOWHERE!! at least live. look at that yahoo video performance. he does the backing for the chorus. the "aaahhhh" in the back.

:woot:

The chorus really reminds me of another song, I'm not sure which one but I do like that song too.

Kiss - I wanna rock and roll all night. and all of the other songs people said.

Shit...I dont know why but something says me that green day will write one song about SWINE FLU and it'll be a b-side

that would be epic.

(eu cagaria de rir)

Same sort of line, yeah, but it's not the same key. It's got the same key and progression as You Shook Me All Night Long, so it's a sort of combination of the two.

Your are the moonlight of my life every night....

I love how he said "Every"....

I'm still trying to figure out what do they mean by the phrase "the sky is falling"?Billie repeats it several times in some songs on the album.I mean, is it something about church and religion or smth like that?Or maby it's just a phrase(don't think so)?

I've listened to horshoes and handgrenades and peacemaker today.

Both are quaity, but Peacemaker borders on downright amazing.

Gah, why am I not listening to this ?

Posted

The days are getting closer before the album is released and I can listen to the whole thing. I could wait before, but now it's getting to the stage where I'm getting really fucking impatient. Can't wait!

No way, its fucking amazing!

Its almost my favourite song, which is weird because I use to hate Misery until recently..this one is better though (IMO)

Am I the only who likes Static age?

Posted

Static Age is fucking awesome. I pretty much love every song, its scaring me, I dont want AI to be out done..but Green Day have done it. Gloria 1# and Lobotomy being 2 of the best songs they've ever made, EJN is a better Holiday too.

AI will always be the greatest album Ive heard, musically, its gotta be 21st CB though, so much experimenting, and it didnt blow up in their face this time (warning) From screaming, to falsetto, Protest songs, to extreme love songs...its got it all.

Who loves billies screams as much as me!?!?!?!

Me:)

I adore his 'heys' and 'all rights' espetially

Posted

I love the screams, there are heaps in the album, in about 3 or 4 different songs.

The really aggressive HEYS! are awesome too.

Posted

Billie is just so genius at the screams.

A lot of the songs I'm seeing come up are alright, but I'm surprised no one is as head over heels for Last Night on Earth as I am.

And both of the Gloria's.

I need to continue listening to all of it and not just skip to those songs.

Last night on earth is drab. You all know my thoughts on KYE, and before the lobotamy has yet to grow on me.

Other than that 21st Century Breakdown seems to be a pretty sweet album! :D

bitch bitch moan moan blah blah.... Bloody miserable git :D

:P

I know what you mean hun, KYE was a disappointment to me in the beginning but its grown on me. I was so excited when I first heard the album then listened to it again and though I'd just got too excited and carried away with it all that I was scared I actually didn't like it as much as I thought. After a few more listens to it on a decent stereo I am just blown away by the sheer diversity of it all.

Nah, Know your enemy is cack. :)

It's ok, a band is allowed a couple of not so good songs on a CD. :P

The only song on the whole album that i find myself skipping past is "last of the american girls"

Ive listened to it a few times and its not a bad song. I think its just the intro to it turns me off it.

Other than that its a top album
