"Know Your Enemy" Music Video

I like it quite a lot, though I'm a bit disappointed the fire shadows don't look as spectacular as in the snippet. I love the beginning especially.

THEY ARE BACK!

Okay well I just watched it on MTV and I got to say, the camera does do some physco shit.

But it was still Green Day and I liked it... I didn't love it.

I like the big chanting of 'do you know your enemy'. The video emphasises that and makes it epic.

I like it. But then Green Day on stage singing their hearts out always makes me happy:)

OK its not very creative but then neither is the song. Its straight and to the point and there's enough message in the video with the security cameras, fencing etc. to make you think what the song 's about.

I think it fits the song perfectly.

Yeah, I think it's ok, definitely not as powerful as American Idiot for the first single vid...

I was more impressed with the footage from the NCAA video to be honest, especially with the fire eruption, and there's one little part where Billie lifts his mic stand and thrusts it out to the beat of the music which I thought looked amazing... and then it wasn't like that in the final video.

Plus... wasn't there supposed to be album art and imagery??? I got the impression they were gonna do something with the platforms like they did in the NCAA video (where they played clips on their stands).

No offense to Matthew Cullen, but where was the director of the TV Spot when the KYE video was being filmed?

You're right. I thought I'd read something about images being put onto the platforms like TV screens. Maybe they meant that was just for the NCAA video but it worked really well there. They could have used it here with good effect. Seems like the director just wanted to keep things as simple as possible.

And I'd forgotton about Billie holding the mic stand aloft. Shame. I loved that.

No. It wasn't. And nobody should have to suffer watching fat Billie Joe. Its just too cruel to watch an ass that's lost its luster.

That's a shit thing to say. Seems you're good at that.

I finally watched it, and it is choppy. I'm looking forward to seeing it tomorrow night on our big screen, see it in better quality and just, well, bigger lol I liked it. wasn't blown away by it, but then I didn't expect to be... it's new Green Day, though, so yaaay!

Yeah, he spouts about how the occasional us of the word 'gay' or 'fag' horribly offends him, yet he posts hateful stuff left and right.

I don't get it, but then, I don't get a lot of things. The world is a crazy place! I'm off to bed. I hope everyone that sees this video for the rest of the night at least semi-enjoys it. We'll see... Again, I look forward to seeing it as it's meant to be seen, on a big screen on a tv. I think it might've been a mistake to release it this way. Doesn't pack as much of a punch.

It's enjoyable, nothing sensational, but then, i'm never blown away by music videos. I like it more after seeing the whole thing (even if the quality is awful) but I still have a problem with the platforms, it makes them seem a little soap boxey.

Looking forward to seeing it in full quality on the tv.

It's a simple video, but I like it!

I watched it 3 times on tv in less than one hour!

Ok so the music is not the best they have in this album (for what I've heard in that concert, I love East Jesus of Nowhere)

The clip is not the best too, but hey, it's Green Day. and seeing them singin' their hearts out on the clip makes me happy. Five years waiting and the result is awesome.

(hope they come to portugal :P)

Never done this before. So no idea what I'm doing.

Just been reading posts. Read first couple of pages and then gave up, so someone may have already said this.

Just seen the video on MTV.co.uk. OK its not the best video ever but its GREEN DAY after 5 years so who cares.

Stop moaning everyone. They are BACK!!!
