I'm really happy they're exploring themselves musically. What I like about this album (along with American Idiot) is that it's not just another "collection of songs" it truely is an ALBUM. I would just like to say that Billy joe is so hot but he swears too much and that makes god cry. It makes me sad that he loves Obama so much though. I hope that the Green Day show over the summer doesn't happen on the same day as Kelly Clarkson, because that would bea totally stupid.I just found out about greenday, but boulevard of broken dreams is such a great song. it so sad, and makes me want to cry. but billy is so hot that I just smile. I heard their new song and it sounds fun. maybe avril and them could tour together. I don't think I'm gonna be a fan once her new album is out, because I like her music better. I mean I admit I've only been a big fan since the AI era(about 5 years now) but I never get bored of their music, I can relate to the lyrics, I agree with many of their views, the list is endless. They were the first real band I actually got into completely, whether being very interested in every program they were on or blasting the radios when I heard one of their songs. I don't think I could ever see myself not liking Green Day in the future. I wouldn't stop liking something like music that has gotten me through a lot of great times and shitty things that have happened to me in the past few years. Plus, usually I'm kinda picky when it comes to me really liking a band and I make sure I really do love them before buying a bunch of albums and merchandise and stuff or even saying, "Oh, I love ______'s music they're my favorite band ever." As an artist I listen to them constantly and the lyrics/melodies make me want to draw. They have been one of my main inspirations since I decided I wanted to become a character designer believe it or not. And I've made many characters in the past having at least one feature or personality 'perk' Green Day-related XDWe'll just have to see what the future holds. With a new album coming out I'm not going to stop loving them now. Maybe after the hype surrounding the new album is over I won't listen to them as much, but they will always be my favourite band unless some other band comes along who is equally amazing. which I pretty much doubt. I just listened to the whole American Idiot record on my way back home in the bus and it still gives me the same feeling as years ago. I´ve been a die-hard fan since nearly five years now and hey, look where they brought me to They´ve always been an inspiration for me - for the good and the bad. They inspired me in my writing, they inspired me to play the guitar (although my motivation has left me a bit but I´m sure it will come back now that I have four of Billies picks ) and they inspired me in so many other ways. Sure, I can´t say if I will have the same feeling for them in ten years or so but still...they opened new doors for me and they had and still have a huge impact on my life so this band will always have a special place in my heart!
