here's a complex reasoning, most people that aren't hardcore green day fans won't care about a stream or an early performance of songs, they'll care about studio recordings. Now fans that'll care about this webcast will get the record too. However how many radio stations and shit..oh fuck..yeah, not happening

I think it would be perfectly "fair" to let fans see the stream - they're letting the fans who happen to live nearby see the new songs so why not let the rest of us join in some of the fun for once?

I can see why they wouldn't though, it doesn't really bother me.

Or that maybe, mm... the band allow the stream after they played all the new album. That would be fair, don't you all think?

Perfect idea.

Too big a chance of it being ripped.

I really hope, they say "no"..

i don't wanna listen to it...

If they say yes and someone records it, I'll just download it and save it for later.

I will do it so, too.

I hope/think they'll give us a chance to listen. It's not like videos won't turn up anyway, so they can't really expect that if they don't stream that this concert will be hush hush and no one outside will get a listen.

The thing is - they might not really mind, and that might be one reason they chose this venue. If a few hundred people can see them play these songs, why not a few thousand or a few hundred thousand? It's not the same as listening to the unreleased album, because no one has actually said that they played the entire album in order (and of course it's not going to sound that much like the studio version anyway). The best review I've read so far said that Billie's words were "We have a new album coming out, and we're gonna play just about all the songs from it tonight," (by Troy Blanchard). So, I think it's just barely possible that there will be no objection to the streaming video and audio.

We can keep our fingers crossed anyway ... :).

I totally agree, they might not mind. And of course, since they are new songs, no one knows them, so it is like a surprise. Also, they don't play all of them, therefore, we still get to wait for the other songs till may 15th. And, for last, the quality, like you said, won't be the same as in the studio, and a live stream is not a high quality if they don't have a sound engineer, I mean, if they stream it with just microphones, it might not sound so good.

In conclusion, there might be a chance of having it streamed.

Thanks for your words, they made me think better about this. :D

-I'll keep my fingers crossed-

Hmm yeah true. It's really just a shame they can't be slightly more lax about video cameras these days *sigh*. Ha OK I'm going to stop talking about this now and just see what I get in the morning.

Yeah, I'm just trying to think positive and hope for the best. I'll be looking forward to finding a video with audio download when I wake up tomorrow morning :).
