I noticed a nice change this last show:

- Whatshername now is resistant to doing drugs with Johnny during Last Night On Earth

I noted this in my review from last month. I really loved that moment and the look in her eyes. Very nice. The third part of my epically long review should be done by the time I leave for London tomorrow. I hope. Anyway...

I did notice when talking to the actors this weekend that its no longer "If it goes to New York", its now "When it goes to New York". Thats always good sign.

Good for them!

Here's another article from today's Times about the state of B'way. They don't mention American Idiot but it's a good overview of what's happening here at the moment:

If there are any Tony Vincent fans loitering around here who are living in Europe, I have set up a petition to bring him over to the UK this December and would be grateful for support!....

"Friends--An exciting opportunity has come about which could bring Tony Vincent across the pond to perform at the Christmas SAS gigs ( http://www.sasband.com ) in the UK this Dec 16th, 17th and 19th, BUT the invitation depends on there being sufficient 'fan demand' for his appearance. So, if you wanna come see Tony this Christmas, then add your support to the petition ( http://www.tonyvincentworld.com/tvsaspetition2009.htm ) and let's show Spike how tenacious and passionate Tony's network of fan support is in Europe! We're counting on YOU to help make this happen! --ingrid"

btw Tony will be putting out a new newsletter today and tomorrow. I'm sure there will be mention of "American Idiot" in there somewhere, so if you haven't signed up on his mailing list then you can do so here:

http://www.tonyvincent.com/mailinglist/index.php

I hope you all are well --I'm so looking forward to coming over to see this show next month!

Ingrid

you have to check this out!

There is a new theatre company in Vancouver called Fighting Chance Productions

It is Vancouver's version of the Berkeley Repertory Theatre...

What is exciting is that they need suggestions for shows for the 2010 -2011 season...and I guess 2011- 2012.

They only do new shows that have never been shown in BC. or Canada for that matter.

They want to cater to the 18 to 40 age group and want to do two plays. two musicals...and a summer musical each season...and they want to involve all the cast! They did Rent this summer with a band on stage...etc etc....it was like..wow...I missed it tho

This is their website:

http://fightingchanceproductions.ca/

This is their suggestions link: Mikey and I already got on the ball and suggested it! I think it makes a difference that we both saw it and we are from the Vancouverish area..

http://fightingchanceproductions.ca/2009/1...estions-please/

So they could very well do AI in the next two or three years...the Canadian Premiere! ***prays***

The production sounds like its quietly moving ahead, shopping itself around for some deep-ish pockets to help it move forward (NY or otherwise.).

This, along with what Tony Vincent said in that newsletter, makes me anxious for them to set a date for the NYC opening

Many people have emailed or Facebooked me the question, "Is the show going to Broadway!?" All of our company is crossing fingers that we will have a Broadway-debut some time in spring of 2010-- but nothing has been set in stone as of yet.

Sounds like at least Tony Vincent will be staying in the NYC cast (which I figured would happen, but you never know) one of his recent Facebook updates was:

"where to live in nyc..."

Does anyone know the setlist for the play. Not just what songs are played but in what order because a couple of them go back and forth.

and does anyone have the link to the bootleg mp3. I use to have it but I accidentally deleted it.

This is all so exciting. Hopefully I'll be able to see it in NYC, since it seems to be almost-confirmed. If not, hopefully it'll tour soon and come to Dallas. Dallas gets lots of new musicals, so it's defiantly a possibility!

I have an overview of the play with the songs on my blog:

I also have the complete setlist from the show scanned here:

I'll send you the third thing in a PM.
