Tripe
March 15. What the fuck? That's a good enough reason for going, right there! Mikey's on for Gerard tonight. Really? Not sure I would dig him in TMTS. I really don't care for his voice at all.
GDM
March 15. What the fuck? That's a good enough reason for going, right there! LOL. Yes, it's the Ides of March! Haha, love that March 15th. What the fuck line, lol.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
LOL. Yes, it's the Ides of March! Every single year, I cannot escape people pointing that out. No one mentioned it at school and not even my dad said it, but now it's on GDC. [/offtopic]

I think it was about $150 a night and it was clean and a great location. And not TOO expensive at the time. I do like my comforts though! I wanted to stay at that Marriott in January but when I was a kid my parents always took us to the Grand Hyatt on 42nd and Park so we went back there for old times sake. This time we are going for another Hyatt/location...called the Andaz. It's only a few blocks from the theater and it is really nice without being way too overpriced. I can't wait for April to get here!

It's their new boutique brand. Really want to stay there. It's right across from the library and Bryant Park. Great location! Enjoy! (I'm a bit jealous actually!!) OMG that is so funny...Iove the Grand it has so many great memories for me! I am so excited to stay @ Andaz, my daughter loved the library last time we were there so she is happy it is right across the street! Well to be honest it is closer to the big Build-A-Bear store on 5th Ave. that has her really excited The only problem with nice hotels is that it makes it REALLY hard to want to stand outside the St. James for long periods for an autograph when you know there is a nice comfy room to go back to! Come hang out with us April 8-9-10!
Tripe
Don't get me wrong - I love the nicer hotels there, too! It just kills me to drop $150/night plus on a room (which you know becomes more like $175 a night with those icky taxes) when I barely stay in it! That said, I have had decent luck with little boutique hotels when I have been there. Often, they are reasonable, especially in the off season. I lucked into a fantastic deal at the Ace Hotel last year for $99, but every time I have tried to go back there, the rooms have been $200 or more. I have heard the room prices are brutal over Easter weekend for the final AI show. Ugh, it would have been nice if they had picked a different weekend to close it out! Easter weekend sucks for prices. Ok so I must confess my pricey hotel rooms are a gift for both our B-days so I am spoiled. I did shell out the expensive premium tickets for the short one for her B-day...it about killed me to spend that much for one show I wanted to just go to a bunch of shows over the weekend but Hannah said NO WAY Mom, I want to do other stuff too like go to the Zoo and Museums and the dreaded Statue of Liberty trip ( I get sea sick just looking at a boat). So since I make her walk everywhere she tires quickly, it gives me a chance to enjoy the nice hotel and a relaxing cocktail!

Oh no your not the only one, I'm more of a 'Four Seasons' girl to be honest... it's only that I'm away for a month in total this time so cutting back. Mind you having compared the cheaper hotels to the nicer Waldorf etc I think I'd rather go with Waldorf. *awaits amazing special offer at The Plaza*

plaid ducky
Aspen's leaving too?! Yeah. She announced that she was leaving a while ago. However, after her, there shouldn't be anyone else. Well, until April 24th, that is.
