GDM
Live Nation just sent at an email to people who are going to Hartford tomorrow about discount tickets to the show for next month. I've tried on the site a bunch of times to get a ticket, to no avail (the site is wonky), but here's the infor: Green Day's American Idiot on Broadway Special Offer: The album of the decade explodes Live on Broadway! Save over 40% when you order your Broadway tickets by August 31. Any performance in September / any seat is just $65! The Grammy-winning album is now "a groundbreaking musical knockout!" - Rolling Stone Visit http://americanidiotonbroadway.com/greenday/ to redeem this offer. I've tried on the site a bunch of times to get a ticket, to no avail (the site is wonky), but here's the infor: Interesting... that's the same offer that they gave to the attendees of the Camden show (Johnny's mom was telling me about it), but you had to order the ticket by 8/10 (yesterday). Maybe it's still being reset of the new offer...?
lizziebix
I sent the link to my NY family that just fell in love with GD at Lolla. Hopefully they'll get to go see this. (They know how much we enjoyed it and are now GD converts!)

Punk-tastic32
I don't know if anyone has asked this before, and frankly, I'm to lazy to check. So here goes: How long will the show be on Broadway? I live far far away from New York But I want to see it next time I go to the States, which will probably be in June.. Do you think it will still be playing? JadedHaushinka
^ I'd like to see that musical too and I also live very far away from NYC. I hope it'll be on Broadway for a looooong time. Or if it's not possible, they gotta make a movie out of it!

Do you think it will still be playing? Right now you can buy tickets up till March, I think? Somewhere early 2011, at least, and definitely not later than March. So it's running till then for sure. I don't think there's been any confirmed news about it closing or continuing after that, but I'm not sure since I couldn't actively keep up with this thread the past month. There was something about it touring the US, though, starting in San Francisco I think, but there wasn't any date with that as far as I'm concerned.... I hope for you it's still on Broadway in June. And also because IF it's still on Broadway in June, then in May I'm hopefully going to try to go there.

kristinalouise
I believe that they are only selling tickets up to the end of January. BUT they may add more dates as time goes on. I feel really sorry for the people that won't be able to see this show. It was ahhhmazing! I'm hoping that I get some money somehow to go back and see it again before the show ends. GDM
I think I'm going to go to the musical tonight. What time do you have to be there for lottery?
plaid ducky
Lottery starts at 6 and the pull is at 6:30. Good luck. It was packed yesterday. But if you don't get the lottery, they have partial views usually available for $37.

Moffie
http://thresq.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/08/green-day-american-idiot-lawsuit.html Uh, did anyone else see this? Morgan from the original Berkeley cast is suing the show. Weed says producers continued to use footage of her, including her singing a version of Green Day's power ballad "21 Guns" at the band's studio, despite never requesting permission for future use of her image. She says the efforts were "extreme and outrageous" and caused her severe mental anguish, manifested by headaches, sleeplessness, anxiety and stress. Weed is demanding compensatory and punitive damages and says she's entitled to some of the show's profits for damaging her reputation and jeopardizing future projects. Moffie
Who was she? Man, people like to sue GD a lot. What, do they think they are made of money? She was an Ensemble Member/Whatsername Understudy and only one of the two cast members who did not go with the cast to Broadway. Honestly, I don't even know what she looks like. She wants attention and Green Day's money.
