Same here miss_ing! Congrats to your friend! He certainly looks the part, in my opinion! We all appreciate the info and details. :)

I am still not sure if I can go to this - I do have a ticket for Sept 4th. (If I can find it - I put in it a 'safe' place...) Looking forward to hopefully seeing it somehow!

hey everyone - you're very welcome for the 'info' about tony. glad to be able to give you some insight and i'm glad your first impressions of him are positive! --he's awesome. he flew out to NY today to start rehearsals :). exciting stuff, huh!? this show is going to be MASSIVE. if they extend it by four weeks, then i will DEFINITELY be on a plane over in november to see it (fingers crossed!).

i hope you all are well!

btw - here's a little vid of tony rocking out in the show 'we will rock you' in london's west end a few years back--

yup yup - in 2000-2001, he was in the JCS movie filmed in pinewood studios, london playing the role of 'simon'

http://www.tonyvincentworld.com/videography.htm

and then he returned to play the same role in the broadway revival of JCS, but got made up to the leading role of 'judas' a couple of weeks before opening nite :)

there are lots of clips of him in JCS and other shows / gigs on my TVW youtube acct....

That actor does have an amazing voice. I did catch some of the Queen musical We Will Rock You on tv over here in England for the Royal Variety Performance a couple of years ago.

(Yeah i'm gonna be picky here can you tell him it's spelt Billie Joe ;) sorry :D This is the first time I've ever corrected the spelling of Gods name :D

Good luck with everything and I hope we in Europe get to see this production one day. Do you know if there is any chance of this being brought over to the UK/Europe?

this was one of tony's greatest and proudest moments in the uk - performing 'bo-rhap' for the first time LIVE in it's entirety for the Queen's jubilee! - not even freddie did that!

and sure, he knows about the name boob ;) - the adjustment will be made on his website asap - on with the rehearsals for now though!

It's really exciting to see the quality of at least one of the cast members! That really gives me a good feeling about the show overall :).

they are definitely seeking the "cream of the crop" for their show, that's for sure ;) ....

And that's as it should be. I am incredibly excited to see it! I've been thinking about it more and more, and something tells me it's going to be great! I just hope it's also a commercial success for the sake of everyone involved in its production.

This Tony Vincent kid is suppost to be playing St. Jimmy? He looks way to wimpy to me and his voice sounds like hes strait out of a boy band.

being that he's in his thirties he's hardly a 'kid' AND tony is a dynamic performer - he can turn his voice in any direction - from sugary pop to all out rock! -whatever direction the role demands at the time. i don't think GD (or Queen) would have chosen 'wimpy boy band' material to represent the kind of characters in their shows, do you? there's too much at stake here. give them credit! the audition process was intense and they chose the one who was right for the role -the one who could cut IT. of course, you're entitled to your opinion, and there will always be critics -but perhaps hold off with your personal judgments until AFTER you've seen the show.

-after day one of rehearsals yesterday, tony has said on Facebook that 'this show is going to completely slam!'

I watched this, I think the whole country watched the Queens Golden Jubilee. This part was awesome. Thanks for the reminder :)

So do you know if there is any chance of this being played outside the US?

:)

Do we know any of the names of the other cast members, or is Tony the only one to come public at the moment?

Tony's voice blew me away! He's incredible...I so hope this comes to Broadway so I can see it!

Imagine what this will do for Green Day's CD sales if the show goes off with a bang!

So exciting, I smell a Tony...or many!

Heather, how do you decide to call a character Heather? *no offence to anyone called Heather just a bit random*

I thought they'd be a bit more dangerous lol
