HoneyDo666
Did someone tape the AI Rocks Broadway Special? I had to watch it with no sound, our dorm TV is being dumb... It looks amazing, but I'd really like to know what they said.

MassHysteria
OK, I really love this documentary, and how it shows footage from Berkeley and Vassar College, as well as NYC, BUT I do not how they give Stark Sands these lines that make is seem like he's been there the whole time!!! He wasn't! I did like seeing Matt in it though
sundaymorning6am
Take the address of the picture and then put them between Example: Picture address (it should end in .jpg or .jpeg or .gif or .png): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/sorano/87112722.jpg Put them between the tags (I'm leaving space so that you can see what it should look like): [i M G]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/sorano/87112722.jpg[/ I M G] Cool beans? I'm not sure where to get the .jpg address from on Flickr!! I don't know when I got to be so computer illiterate. I used to build websites for f*ckssake. Sorry this is taking so long! J'net
I'm not sure where to get the .jpg address from on Flickr!! I don't know when I got to be so computer illiterate. I used to build websites for f*ckssake. Sorry this is taking so long! It's under Share This (near the top-ish, right-ish of the screen) if you've clicked on the photo to see it full size. There are three options, though, and I can't remember what they all are. I can help with this, but not tonight. I spent the day getting to NEW YORK (!!!!!!), and I'm about to pass out from exhaustion. I can walk you through it though if no one else chimes in first... sundaymorning6am
Thanks, J'net! And welcome to the city! Are you at the hostel in SpaHa? Okay, let's try this picture again: From 9/26/99 - the day of Tony's last show in Rent, minus my 13-year-old-self: Same day, him by himself: These two are from February 2006 backstage at a benefit I worked on that he performed at (I have a bootleg of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it and upload the song he sang): Oh god, please let that work... YAY! It worked. I found my album with the JCS photos - he looks very similar to how he looked while he was in Rent, but let me know if you want me to scan them and i'll do it on Monday. MassHysteria
I just found out that they're going to record me on monday evening interviewing Rebecca (whatsername) I'm so nervous and excited! lol Awesome! Rebecca is one of the easiest people in the world to talk to, have no fear! Now I know why they don't want me going, so I can't ask super-probing questions

plaid ducky
If considered eligible, 'American Idiot' has one less show to worry about in "Best Original Score" category at the Tonys. "Fela" was deemed ineligible due to clerical error. Source
Nmd
just watched the AI special on MTV.. I was excited before, but now I'm REALLY excited!! It's gonna be amazing!
sallysimpson
Cool. I'll be in the mezzanine with J'net. Very cool that you won! I didn't win. I'm too old for MTV. They probably took one look at my DOB and laughed. I so hear ya. I love having a 1960something birth year, but it doesn't scream hip and happening (little do they know . . .). sallysimpson
Oh lovely. The hostel I booked a room at for my Apr 30-May 6 trip closed down. So they transfered me to a new hostel. Now in stead of being near Union Square, they've stuck me right neat St. Johns cathedral! I don't want to be near Harlem!!! Anger. Hey -- don't knock my old 'hood! Good restaurants there -- You can catch the 1 at 110th and B'way and take it all the way to 42nd street. I'd offer my place but it's NORTH of Harlem. You know that musical In the Heights? That's my 'hood. But seriously, you'll be maybe 25 minutes from the theater by subway. It's a safe area (as safe as NYC can be) because Columbia is right there. yes, we've been talking about this show for a while now, that's for sure! and who knows if it was a coincindence? they had bandied about a number of theater names here in NYC for months before they go into the St. James, but I think it's the theater that they actually wanted from the beginning. And lest we forget, The Who's Tommy lived there for 18 months. St. James, St. Jimmy, Doctor Jimmy and Mr. Jim from Quad. That's got to be kismat or karma or dharma or some sort of arma. Awwww ... you will still be with Dawn and her sister. I wouldn't have deserted you if it were just the two of us . Bastard_of_1967 is Michael's user name on here. I've never met him, but I love his posts ... very thought-provoking. He's often active in Song of the Week, which is where I see most of him. If you come to the 22nd meet up dinner, you'll meet him . Isn't that such great feeling??? I was so happy when I got my dress and knew I didn't need to buy anything else. I can't wait to see your outfit. Imagine what it's going to be like for all of us to see each other dressed up when we've always just been in jeans, etc. before!!! Premier: I'm so wearing the Louboutins!!!!!! Now the question -- who's going to rock a tiara? I'm thinking diamonds with a ruby-encrusted hand grenade in the middle. April 22: I'm bringing rope, wearing the Vans and fully intend to repel over the mezzanine and into the orchestra. No Louboutins that night. Makes 5 if you count my sister (lives in Battery Park with her fiance and she's coming to the show with me). Bring your friends along, we'll have a party! 7 -- don't forget me and my twin sis (who's 4 years younger than me) from Hotlanta. She's flying here special just for this. And T -- it will be a London reunion. Just have to figure out how to get Adrienne up in the mezzanine to discuss knitting again.
smoothed out dookie
Any word on where the after party will be ????
plaid ducky
Any word on where the after party will be ???? Well, the afterparty is only for invited guests so they'll probably keep it a secret. Also, in case people didn't realize it, there will be no lottery on the 20th.
woven_basketcase
^ AI is doing a lottery for tickets? Thats fucking awesome. I've done lotteries for Rent, but never won.
christycard
The AI lottery is only for students. Which means people that aren't me... Grrrr...
