Do you think that's what maybe the Fox show footage will be used for?

That would be a total cop out. I hope that's not what happens with it. :(

I think they will film it all in one day, of course I will be there, and air in throughout the week. Green Day would never be the 'house band!' This will probably be for a small group of about 100 of us! Can't wait!

Screw Carson. Conan just moved to LA. They need to do a week long stint on his new show.

I think Craig Ferguson and David Letterman are the funniest late night guys, Jon Stewart tops them both, but his show is different.

not a leno fan. Don't find his stuff very funny.

I don't really watch Craig Ferguson, but I think Letterman is pretty funny. I miss the Great Moments In Presidental History segments, though. :( They may have been repetitive sometimes, but I don't mind watching a good Bushism a million times. In fact, Bushisms are fucking amazing. *pokes signature*

Probably the worst late night talk show on American television. Carson Daly is just awful.

Not with Green Day on though haha

Craig Ferguson is underrated late night royalty in my opinion...they should go on his show.....somebody other than Carson ugh

Dude you're missing out. Craig is probably the funniest guy on Late Night TV. He's different but still awesome.

I think this confirms Green Day don't give a shit about money, though. They could do a huge, largely promoted week-long stint on Letterman or Conan and reap the benefits of the millions of people who watch those shows. Instead, they choose Carson Daly, who has a show at 1:30 am that like 5 people, including his mother and children (if he has any) watch.

Carson used to be a radio DJ in the Bay Area in the 90's (on both KOME and Live 105 if I'm not mistaken...both alt rock stations) so maybe they have a good relationship from back then.

Ooooh exciting. For an entire week? 8D Cool.

I wonder if you can buy tickets or something in advance. Not to sound like a bug I'd like to go at least one day, hmm.

Hehehe it's in Burbank? Wheeeeeeee!

OH MY GOODNESS! I'm going to be with my dad in Florida then...WITHOUT A DVR! :( I could try to stay up for it. (I highly doubt I will be cool enough to pull that off) Or I could DVR it here in Ohio and just wait til I get back to watch it...*sigh* Damn...

Someone earlier mentioned Carson used to be a DJ in the bay area, so maybe the band has a good relationship with him?

I believe I also read that he was the only one to allow them to play JOS in full, so maybe that good gesture from him made them want to come back.

Don't quote me on that though, I could be wrong.

I've seen the JOS performance on Carson Daly so that is probably the case.

I don't think Green Day have to be best friends with a presenter to go on their show, really. They're just doing what bands do, playing their music on TV.

Billie gave him a kiss though, so I think he likes him :D

True, however...for a band the size of Green Day - Carson is one of the last people you would book to advertise your album. Especially when you are going to play a full week. Green Day could easily do what U2 did and play a whole week on one of the big acts (like Letterman or Leno). But they chose Carson.

IMO, this is a sign that they have some respect/friendship with Carson. While I don't watch his show, Carson is a really nice a guy (met him multiple times).
