Wasn't it John who said you could get in? I'm sure there won't be a problem :)

Yup! And i hope so

Gotcha.

I had figured you had asked someone who knew, but I just wanted to let you know in case you hadn't seen it.

Thank you anyway

I know, I've read that too and the original message that said it. But I asked a certain someone and I was told I'd be fine.

I'm not sure if I will get in or not, but I have to try

Well, yeah, you've got to try! Imagine finding out they let younger folks in and you didn't go because you thought you wouldn't get in :(

Besides, I think you will get in ... but only if you try :)

I was thinking about that... It would be horrible! So I'm definitely going.

And I think the IC is saying only 18+ so there isn't a bunch of 12 year olds running around trying to get in. (no offense to 12 year olds!)

lol one of my best friends birthdays is the 25th

It's one of my teammates birthday's also

Do you think cameras are allowed there? I actually doubt it cause it´s a filmpremiere but if the boys are there and my camera isn´t... :o No one would ever believe me.

you'll be there??? :woot:

its at the Egyptian Theatre in hollywood

Congratulations! You were one of the first 100 people to enter and win a pair of tickets to the premiere of "Heart Like a Hand Grenade" an intimate look at the band recording their album American Idiot...art house style, a film by John Roecker.

Your name (+1) guest will be on the guest list at the EGYPTIAN THEATER in Hollywood, CA. The Egyptian Theater is located at: 6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90028.

For more information including directions and parking information, check out the Egyptian Theater's official website (http://www.egyptiantheatre.com/egyptian/egypt.htm)

Make sure you are at the theater by 7PM sharp on March 25th, 2009.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Love this venue - in the same block as my hotel, across the street from my office, and a beautiful, old Hollywood theater (at least, it was the last time I visited).
That's great!
Now I think we should plan to all meet for an early dinner to make sure we get to the theater on time. Hamburger Hamlet is right across the street or their are several (mostly pricier) restaurants in the center in the same block.
Anyone have other suggestions?
Really? :woot: A GDC meeting before we all go to the place where we will have the time of our lives? :happy: Sounds great. And I don´t care where we go eat. McDonalds or a gourmet restaurant...I probably won´t be hungry anyway :D
Andres and I have arranged a way for me to update my twitter and have it show up in a thread here. So, if you watch the forum, you should be able to get real-time updates. If you're sleeping during the time, it will all still be available for you to read later.
And I'm sure when it's all over, we'll all post recaps of our experiences (like we did for the Foxboro shows).
There will be plenty of reports, I can guarantee it!
Thanks, Hermione! I'm planning to have an extra good time for those who didn't get to go ... wish we could all be there together!
Yeah, what she said...
Did you check out their website? It looks like a really cool place! I love those old restored places - they have so much character that you can't find in anything new they build. It looks perfectly 'punk' methinks. I haven't been in that area in almost 20 years; I am so excited!!
I'm easy J'net - I don't care what we do or where we meet. :D I just can't wait to go!!
Okay so I had a random question, but I don't want to start a new thread and I don't think that there's a thread about it in here, because it would probably be on Movies & TV. This was the only thread that had anything connected to John Roecker...
So has anyone seen Live Freaky Die Freaky? I've had the DVD for about 3 years now, and I just got around to watching the special features. There was a part that showed some footage of Billie Joe recording his lines, and a lot of it was really funny. Just thought I'd throw that out there. :)
