I don't feel it at all.

I also don't feel that they will show up at the screening.

^THAT would make me sad. :(

Why would they play a show after the screening? There's no real reason, other than they have a long overdue documentary coming out. It just doesn't seem plausible.

I may be wrong about them actually showing up; I just don't understand why they would want to go watch themselves fuck around on screen and relive their writing process 5 years later. Yeah American Idiot is one of the most monumental albums of their career, but I don't think they need to see themselves going through the whole process again. I could be totally wrong though, and they do show up. For fans and publicity's sake.

They will show up. Mike came to Live Freaky Die Freaky and the whole band came to Bullet in a Bible, but I highly doubt that they will perform.

Well, I don’t think they will perform

they wouldn’t start this new era with a gig before of after screening Heart Like A Hand Grenade. I really don’t think so

I guess it’s quite probable that they will show up there.

I gotta say, I’m so jealous of all of you that can attend the show. I live million miles away … =(

I’m sure it’s going to be great, great .. great

i imagine that they would perform the following day. assuming that the first single come out at the beginning of april, they will probably start doing warm-up shows in the bay area towards the end of march. it all fits in nicely :)

I'd love to go myself, but if I can't guarantee that I get a ticket to the show, at least, I'm not gonna chance it. And I don't have a ticket. :(

I'm in the same boat with you ... normally I wouldn't complain, but I don't like this boat :(

This is like Foxboro Hot Tubs all over again, man, not being able to go ... the screening is one thing but if they play a gig the following day it'll be even worse lol. I doubt they will, though, but I can definitely see them going to the screening. Billie met up with John specifically to sort out a screening date so they must care about it.

You will have to wait until Monday to see the full story. For Live Freaky!, we just bought $8 tickets online, but for Bullet we had to line up all day.

I don't get why people think there's going to be a performance, and the next day? Makes no sense, and something would have been posted on the Idiot Club besides March 25th. I'm just hoping they show up like for the Bullet premiere. But even if they don't, I'm still very excited about seeing the movie on a big screen.

i think it does. it would be the right time for them to star doing warm-up gigs (which are usually announced only a day or two in advance) and the premier will be in the LA area, again, it would make sense for them to do warm-up shows in the LA area. so i don't think it is entirely out of the question.

well if you guys remember when american idiot came out they didnt do any warm up shows in the bay area. instead they played the show in hollywood at the fonda where they played american idiot front to back A MONTH AND A HALF BEFORE THE ALBUM CAME OUT so it makes sense that they would do it again. that was a fabulous show btw.

exactly.

american idiot was released 21/9/04, the first single was released 13/14.8.04(?), and the first show was about two weeks before, on 29/7/04. logically, 21stcb will be released in may, the first single in april, and the first gig at the end of march (or maybe the beginning of april at the latest.) like i said, it all fits in nicely.

I do expect they will be doing warm up shows, but I think there would be more notice, and more on the Idiot Club than keep March 25th open. Hope I'm wrong, but that's my feeling.
