Just the general upcoming albums but thought i would post.

- Albums Of 2009 - A Look Ahead

What's Gonna Float Your Boat

Start saving your pocket money kids, because it's is going to be a kick ass year for albums on the local and international stage! Let's take a look at some of the treats we have in store for us in divine 2009.

Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D - (Energy Never Dies)

The Black Eyed Peas made us 'Retarded' in 2003 (and then 'Got Us Started' after some censoring shortly after). Then came along Phunking in 05 and Lady Lumps in 06. So what possibly could these crazy kids throw forth in 09? While that remains to be seen, we can be sure that the BEP will drop some much needed energy into the charts. The new album is titled 'The E.N.D' is expected in March and we wait with baited breath.

Eskimo Joe - TBA

Perth rockers Eskimo Joe are expected to produce a follow up their wildly successful effort 'Black Fingernails, Red Wine', sometime in May. So far it's a mystery as to whether or not the boys will return to their fun punk rock roots or continue to evolve their sound. It's hard to follow up from a number one album that obliterated the charts, but we have faith!

Eminem Relapse

Hip Hop's dynamic duo, Eminem and producer Dr. Dre, have again joined forces for Eminem's next studio release 'Relapse'. This album is due to hit in our autumn, and we are soooo frickin stoked that Shady is indeed back!

Snob Scrilla- Day One

April/May of 09 we will be finally hearing the debut offering of Snob Scrilla's addictive, infectious tracks. His first single off the album 'Houston' will be released in Feb (to check it out, click here!). Need convincing? Well, the guy tore down the house at Falls festival by introduced his new song 'Heartbreak Scorsese' which inspired all the mosh kids to chant the chorus "I'll never change, I'll never change"! If the reaction of the crowd is anything to go by it, this has the potential to be one of the biggest hits from a local act in 09.

Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown,

Green Day proved that even 90's punk rockers can have the stamina and conviction dominate in the Naughties. In their 2004 offering 'American Idiot', Green Day produced a plethora of monster punk anthems including 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams', 'Jesus of Suburbia' and 'Wake Me Up When September Ends'. Their 8th effort should not disappoint. A recent Alternative Press cover story revealed that the album will have three acts titled 'Heroes and Cons', 'Charlatans and Saints' and 'Horseshoes and Handgrenades' and that leader Billie Joe Armstrong is pushing himself to "be progressive in songwriting," Sounds deep!
