I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm really not going to like the lyrics on this record. I mean, I'm not some kind of religious fanatic, or anything like that...but I'm afraid they may go too far with this.

I just really hope I'm proven wrong.

Although 21 Guns does sound pretty cool. Honestly, I don't know what to think.

You'll see, but it'll take quite some time.

I have to type over the AP article, though it doesn't even has that much lyrics, and I'm only using the yellow thingy..whatever, can't explain

I just wanted to say that Sanne has to open a thread then.. so.. DO IT! :D

I hate reading these kind of reviews. It makes me feel like I'm about to explode inside because of all the excitement and then I have to read some of the probably best lyrics ever and still have to wait until I can finally hear these lines surrounded by its melodies and further lyrics...Man, I feel a lot of inspiration already!

Uhh, what, I don't really get you, but okay

I just finished too :)

Just a little question, don't feel like looking it up if probably some of you guys just know it, do we already know in which acts Restless Heart Syndrome and 21 Guns are?

It builds on a piano line to the chorus, which has Armstrong bleating, "One, 21 guns, lay down your arms/ Give up the fight ... / One, 21 guns/ Throw up your arms into the sky/ You and I," as the rest of the band backs him with harmonized, "Aaaah-aaaahs." The song ends with piano and ringing feedback.

I already can imagine this in a arena and thousands of people singing "Aaaah-aaaahs"

Well Jnet.. Here's more information you can use to update the New Album News section

That's exactly what I was thinking! As soon as I get home from work this evening, I'll have to do a quick update before I go out to see my bass-player friend play at a casino here in town.

I think I'm just going to change the Last Udated date on the New Album Page to "Today" - that way I won't have to keep changing it every day!!!

All this information is absolutely astounding and exhilarating! I can't wait for the upcoming 3-day weekend so I can try to absorb it all.

I just want to bathe in Green Day goodness :):):)

Okay, I finally read the damn thing, and I nearly cried.

Again, I'm a 'tard, but I damn near cried...

I know, right? I'm like, "I wanna be surprised!" And I'm also afraid that this will build this record up to be so incredible that I will have no chocie but to be let down... but I don't think that will be the case. I think this is going to be incredible, just incredible.

Green Day cover a lot of ground, and they do it with a style and swagger that's admirable, especially given all the expectations weighing on them this time around. Taking cues from classic rock, going for the massive once again, they're not backing down from the fight. Apparently, Breakdown will feature 16 songs. It's not known whether they all pack as much punch as the ones we heard last night, but we can't wait to find out.

Yes, it kinda takes away the feeling of being excited or surprised. When you listen to the record it's gonna be like: okay, I already know what's coming or what he's singing (at least a small part of it) and then it's not a big surprise anymore. And also you start having an opinion or interpretation about the stuff you read about the album and especially about the lyrics but when you hear it eventually, it might turn out to be totally different because you hear the whole "package". But anyways, on the other hand it gets you more excited, I think. So let's just look forward to it and enjoy the last couple of months of waiting :)
