Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm still crazy excited for the new album, but I'm not thrilled by this sample.

I would have liked to hear something more. I wouldn't have minded had they used this song... whatever this song turns out to be, so long as they'd played more than the redundant guitar chords, and one line at the beginning.

I fully expect to be blown away by the music in the final product, in all honesty. It did sound pretty good in the studio vids.

true.

but i hope the guitar doesn't go on for that long on the final album. i mean ive heard of a build up, but this is a tad boring.

Gee whiz 2 notes played over and over for a whole minute.....that's pretty weak. I know this album will be amazing but that clip is not a good way to kickstart this puppy. But I'm a Green Day junkie so I'll listen to it on repeat for 2 weeks.

In my view, it's extremely likely that they just looped those two notes over and over. I doubt they'd put us through that in the finished article.

I'm almost certain that's the way it is!

It's way too long otherwise..

As a couple people have mentioned in the comments, it kinda sounds like a build-up, right where the preview ends, the song picks up with some faster tunage.

Might be wishful thinking. But sounds good to me.

man that is so awesome! i reckon they cut out the vocals because it can't repeat the guitar for that long in a real song

Exactly. Imagine Wake Me Up When September Ends withought the vocals.

It truly is amazing how a small sample, without vocals, is still better than every Blink-182 song.
