Uh, Boulevard of Broken Dreams was pretty disappointing, in my opinion. That was a let down. Leave the power ballads to hoobastank, nickelback, or some other trite band like that.

It's mercy, compassion, and forgiveness I lack. Not faith.

A little kill bill reference anyone?

BOBD is a great song. I would much rather listen to BOBD over hoobaskank or nickelcrack anyday.

Funny thing is they are gonna do what they want, and they wont release it unless they are proud of it.

Ah, I don't care what they sound like.

I'm just glad GREEN DAY is finally back.

Not PHGP, not FHT, not The Network.

GREEN DAY.

I missed the boys, I really did.

Well for me, it's all about the sound (and the songs). I honestly can't say what I think of that sample, like so many have said before, it's almost impossible to judge from that refrain. That could be such a tiny portion of a song. I live in anticipation of hearing more.

Finally, Green Day's management didn't let me down when they said "great things to come".

The sample is really bittersweet. Though we got a sample, we now have to wait for the single. :( Yeah, I like it so far though. The song will get faster like the AP article said it will.

I'd rather have a root canal than listen to those douchebands.

But whatever. We'll agree to disagree on BOBDs

You literally are the "true" green day fans of 4 years ago who were all pissed off about AI, and the fans they labeled as "teenies"

exactly. like i was a fan before i knew 2 full songs. it's hard to comprehend but i knew more about the band itself from doing my research on lyrics, band members, etc.

i wasnt even able to qualify as a teenie and i felt like a big fan.

but now, i just dont want to be grouped into that. i still am. whenever i grab enough courage to say "i like green day" (which never happens anymore, now i say "i like the network" or "i like sweet children") they treat me like i know only american idiot, when really i feel like i've been a fan since 1989.

Wow, I totally predict this will somehow come to bite us in the ass in the future.

not me, im not acting like im superioir to other fans. its when you hear people be snotty pricks to you for liking a band, and then 3 years later you hear those exact same people gloating about how much they love the band. it's like "yea, thanks for nothing buddy. we'll see by the end of next year".

*sigh* i miss FHT...

Also, you now feel like a true green day fan, not just some teenie with a meek interest. You feel threatened by the idea of Green Day really sucking and being embraced by the dumbshit masses.

You're exactly right. When I started liking Green Day, I was a teenie! I'll admit the first thing to attract me to them was Billie Joe. But over the years I never grew away from them and now I love them for their music and all their inspiration. I feel like a "true" fan now. :)

 i kind of wanted another Network album before a GD album...

and FHT album...

idk, im scared. hah that's the only way i can describe how i feel.

im happy they're back, but im scared to death xD and i have no reason why

like, i didnt mean that I dont like them. Money Money 2020 is one of my top five albums ever.

i just really missed GD ya know?

and FHT is fairly new, so we might be waiting a while.

the only thing im scared of is if my bollocks r still hanging between my legs after ive heard the first single because by the sound of these 2 notes i dont think they will be :D

hahaa.

you make me laugh Leigh. :)

I'd rather have a root canal than listen to those douchebands.

fair enough.

and we agree to agree on the other two stinkbombs.

Me too. My shoes still smell like the beer mike poured on me at their show. You won't get THAT at any green day concert, I can tell you that right now.

Do you think FHT will ever tour again?

Like, TOUR tour, not just a few shows?

Hah - that is something you can't get anywhere else. Totaly random, but you reminded me of this - I took the shoes I wore to the FHT concert out just yesterday, thought about wearing them, and then I put them right back into my closet. I remember being so happy to get out of there with both shoes still on my feet, lol; I still have the vision of all the shoes haphazardly left on the floor of the Brickhouse.

It's time for a new pair of shoes, methinks. :) Dawning of new era of Green Day!!!!

Maybe you're thinking of mine - I threw the black ones away to make more room for stuff in my bag. Also left my shades at the venue, and the back of my earring that got ripped out of my ear, lol!!
