:o am I the only person who enjoyed the whole "shout" thing?

I can't not love everything that they do but it would be 14 billion times more awesome if they played some older songs.

They play 2000 lightyears away...at least they did here. And I agree that Shout song annoys me.

They played it here too!

I have the bootleg of the show they played here in '05 and i had forgotten almost completely they played that song but listening to it brings back some good memories. Like, there's a town in Washington called Longview and billie was telling a story (and it was completely bullshit) about hanging out with kurt cobain and kathleen hanna at someone's house in Longview and just sitting around and drinking beer, hence the name of the song.

haha he wishes he hung out with kurt cobain. Overall I like their setlist though.

They play King For A Day because it's probably one of the biggest crowd pleasers they have. Although by this point they'd have been playing almost nonstop like that since Nimrod so i'm sure they'll mix it up for the next tour.

I know that I'm freaking stoked!

and as for the whole "king for a day/ shout thing" I've never gotten to see it performed live, so i'd like it to be included in the setlist.

Allthough, I know where everyone's coming from with the older songs thing, I'd probably cry of pure joy if they played scattered

I'm sure this has been discussed, probably at length, but what about panic song?? as far as i know theyve never played it live, although id be happy to be proven wrong. that would be a sweet song to hear live.

I agree with you on this Teddy, BUT I think they could please the crowd with a song or two of their own.

hahah. Freaked me out and made for an awkward moment in STL in May of 2005 as I had my 13 yr old and 10 yr old at the time with me and my 13 yr old niece too. Ahhh. Good times.

They aren't for kids, the shows I mean..... I mean, I've heard of much, much worse things in shows than that. But yeah, I can imagine how awkward that must've been w/ kids around

yeah that is just sick. :/

liar liar pants on fire.

well, maybe it is sick. But you love it anyway. hahahaha

One part in BIAB, when he sniffs his fingers. Now THAT'S a little sick  I didn't notice that until the last time I watched it. The sick fucker sniffed his fingers!

Nope! I think it's great how they really go to town with putting on a fun show like that, it'd be such a laugh to see that live

As far as I can see it's part of something they've done since the early days - playing little bits of songs that sound similar to theirs. Like how they'd play a bit of Sweet Home Alabama during Disappearing Boy, or The Beautiful People during Longview. And it reminds me of how they used to play something like Paper Lanterns and stretch it out with a load of tomfoolery. So it's all part of old-school Green Day tradition anyway. I love all the little traditions they have to go along with the music - long may they continue!

I love this thread. it's already noobmania.

And i couldn't be fussed about GD. they'll charge another $85 when they come to australia...and i'd rather see two kickass bands for that price.
