The Disappearing Boy
But what worries me is that maybe they will just plan shows for the US and England (parts of Europe too I guess) and that is it. I am worried that they will scrap Australia completely, even when the tour is in full swing and not consider us here whatsoever, no matter how much money the tour is making or even if the world economy improves!I missed the 16th December show here in Sydney and I still well up with tears remembering what I missed, so to read that again I won't see Green Day saddens me greatly I fear this too.your fears are unfounded. they haven't even announced a tour, so you haven't missed anything yet. green day have a pretty big fan base in australia. they wouldn't miss it out. Mommy's Little Nightmare
I really don't get why people are so up in arms and worried about this. The boys haven't even announced a tour, let alone to be cancelling dates from it.And if I'm being honest... I think they're going to tour the US before they go to other countries. If any dates have been planned, I'd be willing to bet they're going to be US dates, and not Aussie dates first, so...

whatsername
I think it's obviously not true. And just to add to why, there are alot of bands currently or just finished touring New Zealand and Australia and not to mention the just announced tours for next year. I think this is just another thing people are going to over-react too over nothing. If they choose to make changes because of the economy or whatever the new drama is at the time im sure they will just have less shows, not cancel a tour geez. And I doubt they will have less shows. Spark of Insanity
I really don't get why people are so up in arms and worried about this. The boys haven't even announced a tour, let alone to be cancelling dates from it.I agree, why be upset about this. For one they are still recording so it is probably just a rumour. Because when a band is recording the PR people don't usually have many dates set yet. Plus, it is Green Day. There will most likely be a world tour and I say they will go to Australia. Cerry
haha Aussies. This is payback for hogging The Living End.We're not hogging them. We're merely ensuring that the best band we've ever had come out of the country actually stay here, cause we got shit all else in the way of music. The only source I can find at the minute is the Sydney Sunday Telegraph.Well, in that case, we're probably alright. If the Telegraph is printing it, then there's about a 90% possibility of it being 99% BS.
LouLou
They didn't have tour dates to begin with! I don't see how anyone can be getting upset.Exactly what I was thinking! Plus, with all the excitement about the new record, I don't even think we made it as far as being excited about a tour and now everyone has their panties all in a bunch over something that most likely never existed in the first place. Tiffx
They must not realize the devotion of fans. I'd sell a kidney to go to a concert. Kidney's are always needed. But if you sold a kidney then you probably wouldn't live to be able to go the concert, that would suck even more because then you would be dead and you couldn't even listen to their music. arzosah30
Living on the other side of the world with a total population with under 22 million (spread over a wopping great space), there is always the fear that the record companies are going to scratch us off the list as too costly for too little gain... I don't know if it's being too paranoid but whatever. Green Day are my favourite band and I would do anything to see them live, so if they scrap tour dates in Australia... even if there is a slight possibility - I'm going to freak out a little.
