I found something on the homepage of the german punk rock band "Die toten Hosen". They are very famous in Germany and have been together as a band since 25 years.

It says on the homepage Green Day opened up for them in Spring 94 on several concerts in Germany. After the success of Dookie Green Day invited them to open up four concerts in Nov. 94 in Canada and the U.S. One of the concerts was in the Nassau Coliseum in New York, where "Die toten Hosen" opened up with a cover of "Love me tender" by Elvis Presley.

I couldn`t find any exact dates though.

GDA is creating a new section which will basically be a list of all the bands Green Day has played with over the years. Feel free to make suggestions if you can name:

- Bands they played with

- Dates

- Venues

Cheers folks.

In France it was:

Paris, Le Zénith : January 19th 2005, with New Found Glory

Lyon, Halle Tony Garnier : June 30th 2005, with Jimmy Eat World.

They've supported Rancid; there's old Gilman posters in the inlay of Let's Go and one of them says Green Day on it.

What do you mean??? You didn't like the drunk lead singer in the prom dress and no underwear bending over, screaming, well when he mic worked that is...what is wrong with you???

 haha I think one of the best moments of my life was when they left the stage that night. :D

And I don't think I have any bands to add to this - Sugarcult and Simple Plan were mentioned already, I think.

yeah well alrighty then.

I am aware they coheadlined, but Green Day played first and Blink played second so IMO I said Green Day supported Blink.

On the first Dookie tour, the Pansy Division toured with them, right?

I know that Nobody Likes You has a lot of that type of information.

Thanks everyone for the input so far. I'll start sorting the list out by year and put it in the first thread.

I don't wanna take too much info from other sites, that way we have our own resource that we have verified.

Oh, I know. Those screams...and when Foxboro Hot Tubs came on stage, and she shoved her way through the crowd (past me, ugh) to get close to the stage? Could she BE any more awful?

Yes, Pansy Division did open for them on the Dookie tour, I believe

New Found Glory supported Green Day at the Cardiff and Brighton dates of the AI tour. I was there, and drunk. Both were great.

nno. they coheadlined with jimmy eat world and another band as the supporting act. get your facts right.

Blink-182 and Green Day were both on the Pop Disaster tour. The running order at gigs (from first act to headline slot) was: Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, Blink-182.

Kut-U-Up played outside most venues on the majority of dates, but were never billed on flyers so they aren't "officially" considered to be a support act. Jimmy Eat World only played the first half of the tour because they had their own commitments in Europe. Kut-U-Up did play on the 'main stage' once, on the last date of the tour.

Kerrang! magazine interviewed Green Day while on the tour, and BJ said (this isn't the exact wording, but the gist is right) 'our intention is to blow blink-182 out of the water every single night'. The Kerrang! journalist said at the end of the interview that it was exactly what they did. Also, on the DVD 'Riding In Vans With Boys', Tom Delonge said that (again, this isn't exact) '[blink-182] were there to play some nice music as people left. Y'know, Green Day would play and people would be really excited, and then we'd come on and people would be leaving'. He was joking when he said it, but there's an element of truth in it!

Yes, I'm aware I've watched 'RIVWB' too many times.

:)
