They are very famous in Germany and have been together as a band since 25 years.It says on the homepage Green Day opened up for them in Spring 94 on several concerts in Germany. After the success of Dookie Green Day invited them to open up four concerts in Nov. 94 in Canada and the U.S. One of the concerts was in the Nassau Coliseum in New York, where "Die toten Hosen" opened up with a cover of "Love me tender" by Elvis Presley. Both were great.nno. they coheadlined with jimmy eat world and another band as the supporting act. get your facts right.Blink-182 and Green Day were both on the Pop Disaster tour. The running order at gigs (from first act to headline slot) was: Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, Blink-182.Kut-U-Up played outside most venues on the majority of dates, but were never billed on flyers so they aren't "officially" considered to be a support act. Jimmy Eat World only played the first half of the tour because they had their own commitments in Europe. Kut-U-Up did play on the 'main stage' once, on the last date of the tour.Kerrang! magazine interviewed Green Day while on the tour, and BJ said (this isn't the exact wording, but the gist is right) 'our intention is to blow blink-182 out of the water every single night'. The Kerrang! journalist said at the end of the interview that it was exactly what they did. Also, on the DVD 'Riding In Vans With Boys', Tom Delonge said that (again, this isn't exact) '[blink-182] were there to play some nice music as people left. Y'know, Green Day would play and people would be really excited, and then we'd come on and people would be leaving'.
