I truly hope they stay together until their bodies tell them its time to stop - which I'm hoping won't be for about 25 years at least. I'd be completely devastated if they broke up any sooner. This band is such a huge part of who I am, I can't even tell you. They came into my life when I wasn't sure who I was or who I wanted to be, and I feel like a big part of who I am as a person today is all because of the great influence they've had on me. I want my children to be able to appreciate them as much as I do. I want to take my kids to a Green Day concert just to see how amazingly talented they are, and know what a huge impact they had on the music industry, and on their mom's life.

And too, I want to see the guys make music as they age - it's such a beautiful thing when someone is able to do what they love and have a real effect on the world until they're physically unable. The guys have a certain dedication and passion for what they do that not many artists have, and that leads me to believe they'll be around for a few more decades - I certainly hope so. I don't ever want them to just give up on their music - they've worked too hard and gotten too far to quit before its absolutely necessary. Even when they're 80, I'm sure they'll all figure out a way to make music, lol. It's just how they are.

If they did ever split (which they won't ), I think the last thing Billie Joe would do is do Pinhead Gunpowder full time. As far as I can see pretty much the whole point of Pinhead is that it's kept a small scale, fun project to be done in their spare time without publicity. Y'know, just a few friends rocking out in a garage or something without the fame etc. If Billie did it full time it would be like the opposite of what the band represents.

But anyway, Green Day are gonna stick around for years to come. Like Billie Joe has said "the only way someone's gonna leave this band is in a body bag" :D

I don't want to exist in that world :(

I wanna see them like The Stones, man. Doing what they love until they can't do it anymore. Like BB King, he has to sit on a stool. As long as they can still rock, I'll pay to go see them. I love them, they're the friends I don't know  Their music is. Green Day is an institution, they love what they do, and I think they're gonna keep on rockin' out until they can't anymore.

At least, I hope so.

I want to see a show of thier's like that so bad. I think they can still rock when they are older like those people still are.

That's how they were for me as well, they define who I am now. I have changed so much after listening to them and become a better person. Music is more of my life than before and I got closer to friends through them.

I really hope some of you aren't that attached to Green Day.

I think in our own way everyone of us is a bit. But I think if something ever happened most of us would be sad that because Green Day has changed us as a person and was such a big influence but we would all get over it. It wouldnt be that devestating after a while. You would just be sad that your favorite music is gone. No more to be made you only have the older stuff but that is more than sufficeint enough.

If they break up, they break up, life moves on.

As to what they'd do afterwards....I think Mike would concentrate on his family, Billie would definetly stick within the music business in some shape, way or form and god knows what Tre would do. Join the circus maybe?

 I was just implying that they are all a bajillion years old and haven't died yet, and it seems they never will.

It's the countless amounts of drugs they have done has preserved their bodies from death.

As for the Green Day thing, imo the sooner the better that they call it quits. Newer bands these days are not as appealing to a wider audience which is what keeps the older bands around like The Rolling Stones and Alice Cooper who have been around almost as long as each other.

 at Tre.

Also, Billie has Adeline Records & Adeline Street to deal with, too.

I'd be pretty damn fucking sad when they do, but to be honest, I don't really want to see them still playing music when they're 60.

Even if they really really wanted to? You'd tell them to stop and spoil their fun? :P

Eventually Billie Joe, Frank (sorry, that's his real name, get used to it), and Mike will get to old for this stuff. Probably by the time they hit their fifties or sixties.

The Stones are only able to do what they do at this point in their lives by sucking the lives (literally) out of younger musicians.

I mean Keith Richards should be dead by now, considering all the alcohol and drugs he's ingested in his life. Its proof that their feasting on the young is indeed making them immortal.

Fuck the Rollings Stones. They need to pack it in.

GD on the other hand have atleast a coupla albums left in them. When they split, life will go on..simple as that, really.

Why's that?

After-all, Green Day will do just what they want to do! Unless it hurts their fans of course!

I don't believe in life after Green Day, it is impossible to believe in such nonsense, I mean, we only live until Green Day is gone, and then we all die. Just kidding. Eh, Life will go on, it will just have less new Green Day, which will suck, but we'll all get used to it after it happens, but till then, Green Day will keep it up, and we will hear new Green Day music.

As most people are saying, life will go on, but I will miss them when the day comes. But for, I say enjoy them while they're still around...

They're one of those bands that won't break up because they don't like each other. I think it would just kinda fade out, and nobody really know if they are broke up or not. I would still dig they're stuff after Green Day, I'm sure.

Honestly, I don't get how people can say they wouldn't want them to carry on JUST because they're old. So even if they still had a passion for music, totally enjoyed it, and were capable of making a really good, innovative album, they shouldn't do it just because they happen to be a certain age? It's so narrow-minded.

It's still possible to love being creative and express your feelings through music at any age. And seeing as Green Day are genuinely best friends (not just bandmates), make their music because they enjoy it and are inspired to do so, and don't seem to care about being 'cool', I see no reason why they couldn't do that.

I really don't want to turn this into a discussion about me.

However, I haven't found a REALLY good reason to keep on living. I just do. Green Day prevented my death. I will always be devoted to them.

But honestly, we're all gonna die eventually. Time just separates the deaths.

Hah, I'm pretty sure it's much different for you.

Green day Prevented your death??? how??? just asking..
