alexandrez Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 i'm not against old people playing music. im against old people playing music to get money using his band reputation and only playing hits and no new material.i mean, i think green day will sound good even if they are 70.as long as billie finds stuff to write about, and they are all about the music, i think we are still to see green day's greatest album (i hope).if they split up, well, thats fucked up. but they are musicians, we will hear from them from time to time doing some project with other bands and whatnot

Muttweed182 Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Guys seriously 2 albums..? i mean seriously. after seeing many interviews i can honestly say i think these guys love music and love to play it there are plenty bands that are old and still play music. plus all the side projects im sure we can expect a lot more from these guys. And old guys playing music means they stood against the test of time that should be appreciated.

drumstick Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 fuck!!im totally scary to only think about it...i will probably die...but really but music is their life and they still have no reason to break up...they r pretty young and their music is really awesome....they have so manny fans and they r in the best time of their lifes i think...its perfect and in some croatian magazine that comes aout few months ago the journalist ask them after some talking.. "so...we consider to you at least 20 years?" and Billie told "more!! i will stop be employed with punk only when they put me in coffin."so...i trust him
The Disappearing Boy Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 i seriously think that they could go on for a while. the only thing i think that would split them up is either a huge argument, or if one of them dies. and i just can't see them falling out any day soon. i serioulsly wouldn't be bothered if they were still making music at 60. so long as they were cool with it and weren't cheesey with it, i would respect them for it coz i think it takes a lot of guts to continue performing at that age.but if they did split, i'm certain they would continue in music. billie either with his own solo stuff, or with PHGP, or with adelin records. i can see tre joining/creating a band as a drummer. as well as doing a solo album of his own...'unique' brand of music and mike with the frustrators, or his own band. i feel certain we would still hear from them.

Hermione Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Green Day seem to me like the kind of band who play music for the love of it, and write songs because they are truely inspired to do so, full stop. They don't strike me as the type to give a shit about being "too old".For these reasons, I think if they still feel complelled to write music, they'll continue for years and years to come. But if they ever lose that drive to write, I'd imagine they'd stop at whatever age. Because that's what Green Day is - real, truthful songs and passion for music. If it was contrived and forced, it wouldn't be Green Day so they wouldn't do it.I hope they keep that passion for music and go on as long as they feel like, and I think they will. GREEN DAY FOREVER!!
