Spark of Insanity
February would be fine with me just in time for a birthday present. I had the feeling for a bit that they would have something up and getting ready for the new album with what happened on thier site and then on fuse there was a lot of stuff about them all of a sudden other than loaded. I havent really seen that in a while. I just somehow can feel it like with the foxboro hot tubs, and then with other channels all of a sudden have green day on a lot more now.But I cant wait for it though. Blu
30-40 days is too optimistic, but I think something is coming. I'll be happy when real news is announced. Some new GD would be very cool.

Trina
Can someone please tell me how to find this out "NME/Kerrang/Q are all due to do a center page on Greenday with Oct and Nov.."Ive tried searching on the internet but I just cant find how to look at magazines issues besides the coming one... netty
okay. my ideas on this for what its worth. the main site has some things taken off it. so possibly the revamp is finally going to go live soon. thats the only thing I can come up with. whether that is linked to the new album being released? maybe. we`ll just have to wait and seen. kerrang playing loads of green day? so? kerrang arent going to be informed of the bands plans just so they can adjust their play list! aint no way in hell! to do something like that would guarantee a leak from some numbnuts over there! there or any other magazine/tv/radio station or whatever. these guys are so tight lipped about their plans its untrue! it occurs to me that this is how every other band has to be though when you stop and think about the amount of money that goes into promoting a new album by an artist even half as popular as green day! when these guys go off tour and into that "down time/pre-release phase" nobody is going to find out what is going on! news wont come out in dribs and drabs. maybe wee bits about the albums progress... but actual album release news/tour news will come out in one humungous splash! like a smack right in your face. all we are seeing right now is the usual rumours and as usual, the fans reaction goes hyper-mode. some times rumours get the "blah.... bullshit!" responce. sometimes its "I feeeeellll it in ma bones maaannnnn!" yeah right. you guys are winding each other up. we`ll get the news when the guys are ready. winding youselves up in advance just means more fans are going to be pissed off with waiting longer. Rob
I too am curious as to where people got Kerrang and all these magazines are doing GD center pieces in October and November. Though, I do feel the vibes of a new album coming soon. I highly doubt now that a new album will be released before 2008's end, but at least an announcement on their progress and an estimated release date for 2009. Ila Reto
^ agree. i think a 2008 release date may as well be forgotten. the main site has some things taken off it. so possibly the revamp is finally going to go live soon. thats the only thing I can come up with. whether that is linked to the new album being released? maybe. we`ll just have to wait and seen.this makes sensebut remember a few months (wait- has it been a year already?!) when the network's site went down and said "cumming soon"? and then nothing's happened and they didn't put the old stuff back up (to my knowledge). that sort of annoyed me. but im also thinking that's what started FHT. MusicalDeviant
okay doky being "kinda" old enough to remember the last 2 tours Greenday did and remembering the happenings and tell tale signs of when things are being released... i.e more mentions of such band in mags, TV, randoms French newsletters sorry had to have a dig Greenday are now being played on Kerrang and Scuzz every hour! NME/Kerrang/Q are all due to do a center page on Greenday with Oct and Nov... (and no for all you weird minded that doesn't mean a naked fold out picture of greenday...)I give it 30 - 40 days till "something" is announced! if not on the FIRST UK gig i will buy everyone who replays a Pint of the coolest most refreshing beer or a coke for the under 18s wink wink...Well, remember that information on American idiot began being released in like January/February of 2004. That was a good 8/9 months before the albums actual release. I'd imagine, considering how things are these days, that tidbits will begin being released in the next couple months, but the album itself won't be released until some point next year. I think it will be out in 09 anyways.
Rob
To tell you the truth though, I'm not that dissapointed that Green Day hasn't come out with a full new album yet, and rushed another "forgettable" rock album of the 2000s. Not to hype up that it will be as insanely popular in the media like American Idiot, but, I think it will be well worth the wait, and the effort going into this album from them, has got to be a lot. It's not as if the band has been sitting on their asses since their '05 tour. The Saints Are Coming with U2, and the opening of the NRDC site, in '06, Working Class Hero and The Simpson's Theme in '07 (also appearing in the movie), Foxboro Hot Tubs in late '07-'08, and working on the album. I know most of you are saying "durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr", but I just wanted to point out that our patience is most likely to be rewarded...

Usually you can tell that with any artist when they are about to release an album and are gearing up for it. Like I heard Mirah Carey before she ever dropped her cd. I dont watch kerrang and still dont believe a station like that would know in advance about an album release date. sorry but I dont. as for who is producing the album.... I dont know for sure who is working with them or producing it. I take each rumour with a truck load of salt. I`ve seen too many. as for there being more rumours.... I dont see that as meaning anything more than journos trying to earn money selling the usual bullshit and non-fans trying to wind fans up. and fans trying to make out they have the scoop on what is really going on. and that aint going to happen! (if you can call it a trend. in reality this only happened a couple times but twice is enough for me).

For a year now I've been so certain that it would come out that day, I don't even know why.I still am, actually, I just can't seem to let it go Though I must admit the chances doesn't look to good right now, haha.
