i think 21stCB is very underrated. it didn't get as much promotion as it should. i know many fans dislike it pretty much, and say that its overproduced.. but i love it.. maybe not as good as AI, but still so amazing.

i love all albums x)

I like 21CB better than AI !! But I agree, it didn't get the recognition it deserved!

The acoustic version of Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) on the Brainstew/Jaded single. Love it soooo much. Did not care for the version of that song on Nimrod that has pretty much been everybody's high school graduation song ever since.

They played acoustic Good Riddance as the ending of every tour concert since 1997 I think...

And about See The Light... it's true that it's underplayed but I don't like that song. The lyrics may be good, but the song is tiring to me.

This will be an unpopular opinion but...I think See The Light is highly underrated and is actually a really epic way to end 21st Century Breakdown. I love how it starts the same way 21st Century Breakdown starts, really tying the whole album together well and leaves the listener with hope that there is a future for America if people can only "see the light".

Seems like people really have no time for the song, and while I don't listen to it very often I don't think it is the disaster people make it out to be.

I agree. It's not a song I listen to often but it's still a great song and a totally awesome end to the album/story.

It's not just a live version though, it's a studio recording. They originally recorded the song acoustic and released it as a b-side in 1995. It wasn't until Nimrod in 1997 that they recorded it again with all the violins and stuff.

I think I prefer the Nimrod version but the original simpler acoustic version is cool too, check it out:

I only ever listen to that old version of Good Riddance... I like that one so much better. :D

Not sure if I like the key change in that version, but much prefer only the guitar without the violin. I like the Awesome as Fuck version the best, even with the crowd noise.

I dont like that one cause it sounds too religious. But it is a nice way to wrap up 21cb

My mum always says that when she hears it (not being a fan of religion or Green Day), she's like "yuck they're a Christian band". But I don't think the song is really meant religiously at all, it just uses religious language/imagery to get the point across. I think it's just about hope.

I've seen many interwievs of the week where people say that Take Back is one of the songs they don't really care for, but I just love the energy, the style and the fact that it's a raging tantrum right in front of King for a Day.

I think Warning is a very underated album. I think it was a huge step for Green Day. Not only did open up a door to more lyricaly agressive songs like Minority or Macy's Day Parade, but it also opened the band up to a more garage sounding record. Without the lyrical agression, there would be no American Idiot or 21st Century Breakdpwn, or at least not as we know them, whch are as politically charged, in your face, I don't care what you think albums. Warning also opened the door to The Foxboro Hot Tubs. I think Warning gave them the freedom to experiment with different types of rock., which, in turn, developed into the Foxboro Hot Tubs. One last note, Warning just sounds freaking awesome. I think the new alumbs, Dos particularly since it is going to be the "party" among the three, will take influenece from Warning. For example, Billie notes many times that the albums have a lot of sexual tension in them, and you can't tell me that Blood, Sex, And Booze doesn't have sexual tension.

In my opinion, Do Da Da. I hardly ever hear it mentioned by anyone. Ever.

I have to agree with the popular opinion here, Warning is the most underrated record around. My favourite Green Day album. I just think it didn't sell too well because of how much acoustic there actually is on it.

I know they play it at the end of every concert, I just meant that I love the recorded version on the Brainstew/Jaded single, along with Do Da Da. I like it better than the version on Nimrod.

Yes! Best song on Warning hands down I'd say. Awesome music, funny, kinky and clever. And that intro . What's not to love?

Misery remains my favorite GD song of all time. It takes me back to 2004 when I LimeWired ALL the GD songs (don't post that meme).

I was playing MOHAA online, and I listened to Misery on repeat for days. I still shout it out when Billie takes requests. But nay, the only live clip I've seen of it is from the Milton Keynes warm up, and that sucked.

Oh! What about Maria from International Superhits? That's a great song, but I rarely hear anyone talk about it

OMG I like that version a thousand times better! I didn't really like Good Riddance till now. Also, noticed that that cover in the video says "Time Of Your Life (Good Riddance)" instead of "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)".

More underrated songs: All Warning but Minority, Walking Contradiction, Homecoming, Restless Heart Syndrome, Peacemaker, No One Knows, Words I Might Have Ate
