The person I was talking to said they wanted the information kept secret, so I was saying that would be ridiculous, as you can see if you read our conversation. Of course I know that's not what the IC's like, I wasn't criticising it or it's members. I was only criticizing the person who suggested that people on there should keep information to themselves. I can clearly see the exclusive parts are the videos etc and not the information as I do know what the membership includes, that's exactly the point I was making!I wasnt actually aiming that comment at you but the person you were refering to. But that's just my opinion. netty Posted July 10, 2008 Share Posted July 10, 2008 I think we need to get this back on topic - i.e. about the actual club rather than any of the individual members of either forum. a lot of fans didnt agree with it from the start simply because you had to pay. some didnt like it because they couldnt pay. initially I was pretty hopeful that it would be a success. obviously hasnt worked out that way. if we ever get that bloody revamp, maybe they will actually get the place sorted out. the idiot club and the main site. I find it pretty easy to counteract, and I actually prefer it when people are straightforward in what they say. I`m certainly glad they never used their accounts on there, from the point of view of one of the mods who would have to get the mop buckets out afterwards. there is interest in it but for whatever reason, things just havent gone the way they should have done. "why" I am not totally clear on. as for that previous comment about the band needing to line their pockets as being the reason for actually charging a membership fee, if you really think thats all the band are about then I dont honestly understand why you are a fan. I`ve been trying to find out what the hell is going on with the idiot club, revamp and whatever else but so far havent found out that much. I wanted to join a long time ago but couldnt simply because nowhere near me did international money orders. yeah, there are still fans who cant join through lack of money or dont have access to credit cards but its only one section of the site that they dont have access to. and as people, myself included have been saying, you aint missing much! maybe they should make it all totally free. maybe after the way things have gone with it... who knows.How much of the $20 do Green Day actually see?good question and the answer is one that none of us will every know!
