Because everyone has a right to be here if they wanna be, it's not just exclusively for people who think Green Day is the only band in existence and even if there was another band they're shit cause Green Day is the best.

Hell I don't even own anything remotely green Day anymore out of my 40GB of music you won't find any Green Day.

John came here as a fan whenever he joined and got bored of what Green Day were doing and everyone else here respects his choices.. and you should to.

Graduation.

I've already seen them play live three times, and don't get me wrong - I plan on going to however many more shows as financially possible. But my high school graduation was really important to me, and I wouldn't want to have missed it.

Also, my school being so small, it's a big deal if you don't show up to walk, unless you're deathly ill or something.

Honestly, I would have given anything to see Green Day instead of going to my high school graduation. My parents would have killed me, but I would totally have ditched the damn ceremony. I hated being in that goddamn church with all those damn idiots. The only thing that day marked was the end of 4 years with people I hated. Well, most of them.

University graduation... well, that's tricky. I would have no problem with not showing up if a specific friend couldn't come. He's important to my well-being in college right now. The only time I'll ever really get to see him is graduation. So, if he wasn't coming I'd go to Green Day. But getting the chance to talk to him in person for 5 minutes is worth not seeing GD to me. Sad but true. Any other friend I'd just drag to Green Day with me.

It's really fucking lame, they hand you a diploma after calling 500 names, then they call 500 more names and you leave. Lame.

And if you liked it, that'd be different. But to go to something boring is just dumb.

i went through 4 years of it, i think i can sit through an hour ceremony.

plus i've already been to a green day concert. it's not like it would be the last one ever.

I just can't see why it should mean anything to you if you don't enjoy it.

You went through 4 years, and now you have a diploma whether you show up or not.
