Graduation sucks, I chose to go to graduation instead of Key West for vacation. I regret it to this day, you graduate no matter what, it's just a bullshit boring ceremony filled with people you neither care about or never will see again.

Amen, sista!

By the way, sucks for you, Key West is awesome!

I graduated in 2006. It was the most entirely boring 2 hours of my life. I sat on a stage next to people that I couldn't stand, listened to speeches from the biggest over-achievers in my school, listened to the teachers and principal ramble on about the future, it's been a great four years, but you've finally done it, blah blah blah, wish you the best of luck with your lives, blah blah blah, name, name, name, name, name, etc, turn your tassle, throw your hat- the end!

They're really all the same thing, as is. At least a concert you can be around a huge crowd that's gathered for the same reason you are- to see a band they love, and you can listen to the music and just have a great time.

That's pretty much the best summary so far.

Yeah, I'd rather sit in my chair watching Seinfeld than sit through that.

Ha ha I was joint first in my year academically but I still didn't ever bother to go to stuff like that or do any extra curricular activities.

I've never graduated for a Diploma.

Graduation.

No doubt about it. I could not do that to my mom, and plus my education is the most important thing to me. Both of my brothers did not graduate on time, so I have made it my job to make my mom proud of her child. Graduation is something you only get once. Green Day could wait till another time.

completely agree.

where i come from it's called valedictory day, and i've been working towards that for 12 years.

so a green day concert, whilst amazing would have to come secoond to VD

Graduation cause it is something you only get once. If it was one of my favorite bands I think I'd rather go to the concert, though.

you can get your diploma anyway, right?

Totally Green Day.

^^ What he said, but yeah we dont do that whole thing over here. I hate pomp and ceremony, i hated graduating from uni and only did it cos my folks had made the effort to attend.

It doesn't matter if you miss Graduation Day here. You still get sent the diploma. I'd choose Green Day.

Fan - "So basically it's like getting your diploma then?

BJ - Yeah.. if I knew what that was like!"

Green Day. My graduation day sucked. It was a day I looked forward to for four years and when it came It was horrible. I don't think i've ever been so angry in my life, I wish I could have gone to a Green Day gig instead.

The Graduation ceremony isn't mandatory in alot of places. I would still go to my graduation because you dont have those often. S for the first day of school, I would skip it. Thats what I did on August 30 2005. Green Day had a concert in me on the first day of school but i decided to go see green day then go to the first day of school.

I graduate next year. As long as I would receive my diploma, I would definitely see Green Day instead. I don't care about all the memories of high school; I'll only end up seeing a few of them after graduation anyways.
