My high school graduation is coming up, and I'm sure a lot of other people on this board are graduating from either high school or college soon as well.

So today I was thinking...if Green Day ended up playing in or near your city on the same day as your Graduation, and there was no way that you could go to both of them, which would you choose?

I think I finally decided that I would see Green Day. They've been one of my biggest motivations during the last four years of my life, and I've looked forward to seeing them more than almost anything else in the world. I know that missing Graduation would be terrible, but honestly, what would you miss? I would much rather be jumping up and down screaming along with every word of Green Day's songs for two hours, then be sitting in a giant auditorium of high school students just waiting to walk across the stage and be done with it. And besides, my last name is Zoellner, so I bet everyone will be asleep by the time they call my name.

What about you guys?

well it's hard to say. I mean i'd go to Green Day instead of the ceremony where you get your diploma, but it'd be a tougher choice if you had to miss the actual prom dinner/dance part.

We don't do the whole graduation thing here unless you attend university. I left school when I was fifteen anyway, I was made to go to college but I got kicked out. I allways had more important things to do rather than school work.

Graduation.

No doubt about it. I could not do that to my mom, and plus my education is the most important thing to me. Both of my brothers did not graduate on time, so I have made it my job to make my mom proud of her child. Graduation is something you only get once. Green Day could wait till another time.

you can get your diploma anyway, right?

Totally Green Day.

In this country you don't usually get a big fancy graduation and proms are pretty poor quality. In fact I went to a house party over my crappy prom anyway. I'd choose seeing Green Day over it in a second. In fact I'd probably choose seeing Green Day over my own wedding day :P:lol:

Green day without a doubt, but then again i dont really care much for school. Now if it was the graduation party where i get money and such, that'd be tough.

We don't really have a that sort of graduation, but even if we did, I'd go see Green Day. No doubt.

I think seeing Green Day would be more important than most things in my life plans right now. The only thing that would take priority would be my kids and hubby.

Graduation ceremonys just seem highly unnecessary to me. That's America for you, though. :P

I know. We don't have a graduation. Hell, we don't even get a prom... probably just as well, it's a 'sausage school'.

My mate got asked to go to the prom with his wumman but blew it off because it cost about £40 and he had to hire a suit... he's a true man.

If you honestly would rather hear 2 hours of half-hearted speeches and reciting names over a concert, then you are either a masochist or a retard.

Guess I'm a retard as well as a self-centered, unfair bitch, huh?

Green Day by a mile. :D

But I don't really care much about my education, anyway.

And I hate school events. They're always a big fake pile of wank.

Green Day. We don't have no fancy-schmanzy gratuation ceremonies here. Even if we did, I'd probably chose Green Day.

I would chose graduation. It only happens once. I only have a graduating class of 20 people. I'm really close to my friends and the ceremony isn't that long, so I'll go to that instead. Though, I really love Green Day. Maybe if they are playing at a different time, I'll invite all my friends.
