^ of course

Pssh, no spoiler needed.

yeah exactly. :)

Oh, well that's perfectly understandable then. Let's be honest, if I'm not listening to your band, why even exist?

Yeah 2 things, payments are credit card only and the form doesn't work if you live outside the states.

Paypal would have been nice.

It'd also amuse me if they weren't Green Day.

But you'd be an idiot to think that they weren't.

You know how dogs can't pass a lamp post without cocking their leg, even if they don't need a piss ?

Guest Brian

The Pedestrian song they're selling is WMA and has DRM.

I did a preorder on Amazon for the cd. I'll wait until then to get the tracks.

I can't decide on whether or not to post this. I'd rather people not buy this version and just wait for a DRM free mp3 from Amazon. Just for the sake of DRM.

Though i guess this money would go more directly to the band. but i don't feel terrible about that, because they did put these up for download for free.

someone emailed and said the quality from that download was great though.

Digital Rights management

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management

It basically means that the file is encoded so that people can't mess with it, you can't convert it to an mp3 and it's not meant to play on other machines. It limits what you can do with the file.

Obviously there's lots of ways around it, special converters and stuff - i just like the idea of supporting a DRM-free site, which basically means that people can do whatever the hell they want with it after they buy it.

so if I already have it and am gonna buy the album, whats the point of me buying this? Especially if I can't put it on Itunes.

if it has DRM as mentioned, then no. you can't just import it to iTunes. You'll have to strip it of it's DRM using some convertor. I haven't tried, so i can't really say for sure.
