*withoutadoubt*
Thanks for posting Delfina - great review. I wasn't so positive at the time, but the first time I heard Dark Side of Night, I thought of the Mamas and the Papas.
greenbear
Thanks for posting that great review from someone who appreciates that this is a fun project.I would agree totally with the A+ that he gave for the vocals. Billie's singing is just so amazing. I love the way he sings in totally different styles to suit the song, shouting and snarling one minute to pleading and purring the next. Paticularly love his voice on Mother Mary, Dark side of Night and Red TideHis voice makes this album really come alive for me. Also glad he picked up on Tre's drumming in Dark Side of Night which is something I totally love about the song. You can just tell its Tre.Good read. I love it lyrically too, the lyrics have really grown on me over the last 5 months and the last week since hearing the new ones, at first i thought they were just throw away lyrics to fit with the style but they go much deeper than that.Oh and Dark Side of Night just does things to me that he probably never intended :whistling:

justcause
I love the whole feel of FHT - the rawness and finesse of it. The musicianship is so fucking great, the love of music and of just playing it so obvious. I feel like the songs are coming from the desire to just get to a place of abandon, free it all up, and at the same time there's this urgency to find the magic. The title track with all of its 'take control, lose control' kind of sums it up for me. Hearing this album is like plunging into the cauldron of creativity, feeling the fire and the cold lonely of it, along with what it costs.

Sixtrix
I just listened to all the tracks from Stop Drop and RollI must say, it really sounds good for a side projectBut if I have to consider this as the new Green Day album I am quite dissapointed.I agree with that review that this is a perfect vacation project for the band, after the big success of American Idiot. It gives them some extra time to think about the new album. But at the same time, it already has been 4 years for crying out loud. And the way I see it now, the new album won't be out earlier than 2009But I am sure I am going to enjoy this album for a while. There are some solid songs on there.

There are some solid songs on there. You could be right about the new album coming out in 2009. But we really can't assume ANYTHING, since the band decides to keep everything so tight lipped. Last we all heard, they were supposed to head to the studio in January to begin recording. They could be far along on the new album, they might not have even started on it yet. Either way, I highly doubt Foxboro Hot Tubs had a lot of steering away from work on the new GD album.
Waffles
Green Day have officially confirmed that they are the Foxboro Hot Tubs. The band emerged a few months ago, and after much speculation, Billie Joe and the gang have outed themselves in an email to MTV.The Foxboro Hot Tubs release their debut album 'Stop Drop And Roll' on May 13th.Rock Sound
