If the trend continues, what sort of 'secret' side project do you see Green Day releasing in 2001, a year before thier own album? What genres do you think are possible for the boys to pull out of their brilliant asses? We've got New Wave, we've got 60's garage... what could be next?

***I tried searching, I think the search function effed up, sorry if there is already a thread like this***

tbh they're not that brilliant, just lucky in alot of sense that their stuff is catchy...

If they did gangsta rap I could not look at Dope in the same way again. They actually made Gangsta Rap sound good. since they mixed it with Metal.

I don't imagine they'll fray too far away from what they already are. It's all basically the same, in the end.

he's just assuming there's gonna be another side project in a couple of years. and the question is what do you think it'll sound like.

i have no idea. and i'm not interested in side projects (unless they sound really good obviously), i'm interested in Green Day.

I'd rather have Green Day albums sooner (4 years is too much for me) and no more of these side projects...

Perhaps hard rock or metal. That's wishful thinking.
