I hope they do go on making music, as long as Billie doesn't end up like John Lydon, dissing all punk bands because he supposedly started it all, and so no one should ever make punk music again.

The only bands that last into their 40s, 50s, 60s etc tend to be hard0drinkin, unashamed rock stars, and Green Day don't really fit that bill.

I can imagine Green Day taking a long temporary hiatus in the next 10 yrs or something.

And then when they do start touring again, I'd be old, and I'd go crazy about the tour.

And my kids will probably think I'm old school, just like we think our parents are today when they go crazy about their favorite childhood bands having a reunion tour.

i can only see them being together for another 10-15 years, and then hopefully billie joe will go solo and record some fabulous ray davies/joe strummer esque albums and be just as beautiful and important as he is right now.

Ohmygod in 15 years I'll be 35. Noooo!

Er. I don't actually know what they'll be doing then. Hopefully still making great music :)

What's up with digging old threads?

I mean, that's cool but weird in a cool way

So, to answer this, future is ever changing, Last Green Day tour was very much in the vine of Stones and Springsteen

It was basically arena rock, but to be serious, I'd hate if they do that, In 15 years I hope they'll be making what they know best, yet though Adeline and playing small as well larger shows

Maybe because there's no decent new threads? lol I'm so unobservant. I haven't even realised they were old.

i dont care if they are cripples, those mother fuckers better keep playing

Haha yeah ! I can imagine them as three wrinkled old men rocking on the stage :D

It's their duty to the society to make their awesome music as long as they can :)

I hope thye'd be still going. I'll only be 27 then anyway. I reckon they will keep going, as long they enjoy making music.
