Article about Green Day's new album

Ok so this was posted up on GDA just a while ago and no topic has been made about the same news, so I decided to make one so we can discuss it properly here.

NME, in its new issue, has a small article on Green Day. It says producer Linda Perry has worked on some tracks for Green Day and "has been making the band listen to the 'Nuggets' box sets -- an influential series of compilations of 60s US garage rock and psych bands. Stranger still, she made Armstrong grow his hair, which could explain the Foxboro Hot Tubs mystery."

I'm assuming that what this means to say is that listening to the 60s garage rocks explains the 60s sound of the Foxboro Hot Tubs, and not that the long hair explains the Foxboro Hot Tubs... Now if only we had some pictures!

A big thank you to Sylv for the news and the scans.

I am gonna ignore the fact that the ETA of the album is supposed to be Autumn this year. I am not getting my hopes up.

So they deny being FHT? Interesting.

I think it meant to say they denied beign the Network, not FHT. Just re-read and you'll get it, it does sound like it's talking bout FHT, but it's actually bout networks. :)

The article was about the 60's thing, and the sentence also mentions Mother Mary. I think they are talking about FHT. Everyone knows they did the Network.

That makes them liars.....I can't trust them.....I should have voted for Bush......

I thought the manager confirmed they weren't working with Linda Perry?

I suppose it's something, even if most of what's in it was what we heard a year ago in NME.

Trust me, if they had said ANYTHING about FHT it would be everywhere, not only in the middle of a little article in NME.

Heh, nope that is a new article, according to whomever scanned them; they just repeated a couple things, I think. I still wanna see the picture on the pages.

right.

Still, it's weird that they're denying having anything to do with FHT. I don't get it. The more I listen to FHT, the more I am able to tell it's them.

Perhaps they all have evil twins :ninja:

Oh, I see. Thanks Delfina.

Sorry, that was meant to clear some earlier confusion, doesn't actually answer your question about the hair... :D
