Foxboro Hot Tubs

I mean, on my music myspace, if I kept getting people leaving comments trying to figure out who to run it and stuff, i'd soon delete them.. because it's rather stupid to like discuss things such as that matter on a bands webpage.

Oh! Well here's something I'm not sure if netty will answer or not, but it does have my curiousity since she knows something.

Do you know if there was any purpose and point to those couple of bulletins that were nothing but random letters, or why they got deleted so soon after they were posted? I mean... that doesn't give away who runs it or anything important.

purpose? point?

there`s always a point. even if its just to wind people up. depends how much fun the person posting the bulletin is having at the time.

I doubt there was any secret message in it.

but then ya never know. ;)

In case you didn't know, Foxboro Hot Tubs' Myspace posted a new bulletin.

The title says "Friends"

And the body reads...

" hey if you added us in the last few days we are your friend now! - peace"

Well, whoever is in FHT and runs the FHT myspace, god speed on them. They make me laugh at ARGHHH CRAMP!

*cough* sorry, got cramp in me leg.

anyway... it's funny how they post a bulletin and everyone's like OMFGZ kinda thing... pointless but funny... yet everything HAS a point to it...

Recently K-ROQ has been using the Foxboro Hot Tubs in their commercials on the radio.

The kind of ads that remind the listener to what station it is, and what kind of music they play. They say "U2" and play a snippet of on of their songs, then "blank" followed by another snippet.

They did this with the foxboro hot tubs, and referred to them as the foxboro hot tubs, not green day.

I don't see why green day needs a new album when this will do just fine. Its getting great reviews and at the moment is really popular. And it doesn't sound like American Idiot, which is great because that sound really had nowhere to go.

Well, I'm glad they're being referred to as Foxboro Hot Tubs and not Green Day... because they aren't Green Day.

And I mean, it's cool that FHTs are getting a bunch of hype, but... the fact is- they aren't Green Day, and alot of people want to hear new Green Day. Not another side project. They miss the band itself. And it's not entirely about the music. It's missing them in general. I know that it's not just a new album I'm excited for, I mean, of course I am excited for that, but it's also for them to tour again. To see them live. It's the whole Green Day experience that I miss, and I just can't get that from a side band.

As do I. I mean the Network and the Foxboro Hot Tubs (I hate acronyms, personally) are good, but they aren't green day.

I just think its nice that Green Day is currently exploring a sound that isn't like that of American Idiot. I mean its a good album, but now all bands sound like that, so its time for the band to progress. Stop Drop and Roll is a great evolution of their sound (which still carries the spirit of those Kurplunk riffs and melodies) and offers a retro-ironic twist to it.

I hate the word "delicious" when used to describe things other than food, but this music seems as though it would have a taste described only as "there's a party in my mouth".

I agree that exploring new sounds is very good, but it seems to me as though Green Day is always exploring new sounds and progressing. I mean, their albums have a very distinctive 'Green Day' sound, but each album itself has seemed like an exploration of new sounds as well. I love Foxboro Hot Tubs, I think it's a great exploration as to what else they can come up with and try, but I also do want to hear what they come up with for a new Green Day album.

haha, it actually made sense!

I still wonder who runs it..

i thought it was maybe the guy who helped with the Network.

Chris Dugan.

I think it's that Rob Schneider kid, Bill Schneider's nephew.

Oh man i never listen to the radio, someone needs to tell me which shows would play FHT, cos i'd seriously love to hear it on mainstream radio, have radio 1 got hold of it yet? Would they play it? Do they know bout it?

^ they must have hold of it, mike davis was saying something like ''that was by a mysterious band that doesnt really exist. called foxboro hot tubs. but theyre not really a mysterious band cuz its a green day side project thats keeping them busy until the new album comes out'' or something.

its probably up on the radio 1 site.
