rebelgirl1749
If they are Green Day then why make something and not put it under Green Day? p.s. Does anyone know how to get in the FoxBoro Hot Tubs website or is it supposed to have a giant clock in the middle and no info about the band? Femme Gauche
If they are Green Day then why make something and not put it under Green Day? p.s. Does anyone know how to get in the FoxBoro Hot Tubs website or is it supposed to have a giant clock in the middle and no info about the band?XD We kind of discussed that before. A few pages back, maybe five or so (not sure), but there were several reasons given as to why. Chiefly, it doesn't fit into the idea of the things that Green Day expresses. FHT is kind of carefree while Green Day usually is more melancholy (lyrically) and very personal and/or political.
justcause
I thought the same about Red Tide, and so did my friend. And that would make it even more endearing XD. But I think it has a multitude of possible interpretations and we might have no idea as to why he actually called it what he did... though I don't tink it would be about a specific woman, necessarily. Like maybe it would be written for one, but it would be from a generic perspective if that makes sense.I think you're right in the sense of what's specific and what's deeper, broader - the 'menstrual' angle certainly didn't occur to me till I saw it posted in this thread. In a general sense, it could be that point in a relationship where you suddenly go 'do I even know you?'. I had the picture in my head of this girl dancing, 'disconnected', no-one else aware of this bleakness inside of her. Then this guy who just turns up at the end of the song, but it feels like he's been there all along - and when she breaks away from his kiss, it's like despite how beaten down she is by her sorrows, in the moment where he wants to kiss her, she takes herself back. 'This is where her heart will not die' - will something in her die if she submits to this kiss? The whole song builds to this not-kiss, and with that line, everything shifts - she's now the one in power. The reason I like the clip at the start of this one - all the stuff about subterranean rumblings, the earth shifting, changing - is because it feeds into the feeling of uneasiness, something in the air. As for the 'red tide', menstruation, reproduction - it also fits with the sound clip - Earth Mother and Mother Earth.
Femme Gauche
Or more immediately, hormones.Whatever angle you come from, though, I think it can be agreed upon that it is a very sweet and tender song and not possessing the silliness or whatever that you would expect to hear in a song about menstruation... your interpretation makes sense too, but I'm really not sure about the dancefloor line. Haha. I suppose it will make more sense if we were better able to understand the lyrics.

mbk
I found an account on this forum from someone with an email address from foxborohottubs.com so i sent them a PM.All i said was "You seemed to have created quite the stir with Green Day fans"Here's the replyThe real question is, is it possible to run a Q core Penryn on a 680i based motherboard with dual g92 cards running in sli with with 1333mhv ddr2? and would the formentioned sys hit 4ghz with only air cooling? How high with h2 Also would I need more than 1.4v core to obtain a 400 quad pumped bus(1600 effective) with a 10x multiplier? But.... the 10 million dollar question of course is: What shader fill rate could I expect gro the gpu's at 700-1800-2000? Would my total bandwidth be greater than one gigaflop? Is this their way of saying the website couldn't handle the bandwidth and that's why it's back to the clock? I think they're asking for your technical expertise Andres... And a red tide is a kind of natural disaster, when a wide cover of red algae comes into the shore and chokes out a lot of the sea life. But I agree that it has a lot of possible interpretations, and the color red is of course always associated with love and passion. It seems to me there's little doubt that these are Billie Joe's lyrics. They touch on many of th same themes as AI: the seduction of self-destructiveness, like drugs and alcohol, and the salvation of love and finding strength in it. And the clever turns of phrase are very Billie Joe-ish too, like "Pabst Blue Ribbon unravels." It unravels because its a ribbon, it's a very cool little play on words. Femme Gauche
That's exactly what I was getting at there, mbk, referring to the lyrics. All the stuff I love about his lyrics are present with FHT.

nomi89
For some reason I don't think the info they'd put up would be completely bogus. I think they want to be taken slightly more seriously with Foxboro. I highly doubt Billie, Mike, and Tre would want to stage another press conference. OMG that press conference is priceless! hahah tre on the table at the end and they all beat up the reporter bwahahah. and BJ cant speak swedish for shit hahaha oh lordy I need to see that againThe real question is, is it possible to run a Q core Penryn on a 680i based motherboard with dual g92 cards running in sli with with 1333mhv ddr2? and would the formentioned sys hit 4ghz with only air cooling?
