Foxboro Hot Tubs

This stuff sounds like actual music. There were a couple catchy Network songs, the rest was just too ... not good.

Different people, different musical tastes.

This stuff is much better than Network stuff.

I agree. And you can tell it's alot more serious than Network stuff too. The Network was kinda crazy and out there, these songs obviously have alot more meaning and thought behind them.

I dunno-- I liked The Network's stuff. Then again; I'm crazy *rolls eyes* Everyone has different tastes. I like this stuff just as much as The Network's...It's just *different* xD

I don't think so. Award nights and the release of American Idiot was pretty busy as well.

Speaking of new albums, I hope you realize within the next few weeks of Green Day's new CD (which will hopefully be this year), this forum will be flooded with n00bs. You should probably think in advance about changing some guidelines and when the time comes, appoint some extra mods. Lest we lose our valueable discussions under a hill of "Who iz da hawtest" and "wuts ur favrite greenday song" threads.

- This has been a word from your friendly forum advisor.

I don't know. The way I see it is that The Network was meant to be a big joke. If you couldn't tell by the press conference, the outfits, the stories behind The Network, the 'hatred of Green Day' and all that, they were never a serious band. Probably just something the guys thought would be funny. This seems to be alot more serious. Sure- they haven't said anything about it, but there aren't any ridiculous stories or 'band history' either. That's just how I see it.

I'm sticking by my theory that this is a direction Green Day scrapped going in for the next record, but still wanted to release.

^ PLEASE don't use the word "noob". it's so irritating. I know what you mean, but you really can't do anything about it.

I'm wondering why iTunes had it as "The Foxboro Hot Tubs" when the site doesn't say "The" in their name at all.

iTunes has it? I just looked it up, with and without the "the", and well...

The only result I got was Green Day

The Network only has like 3 good songs.

I mean the song about the hamburger, wtf?

I hated it.

This stuff is so much better, I pretty much adore it.

They even said they had enough material for 3 albums even more

Agree!

I mean, I thought The Network was okay (certainly they were good for a chuckle), but this stuff really tops it.

What? No, lol.

iTunes doesn't have it... yet. Sorry if I was implying that.

But what I meant was when I downloaded the songs from the site and opened them up in iTunes, the artist's name was "The Foxboro Hot Tubs."

On their site, the "the" is nowhere to be found.

That is true, but the music quality was no less brilliant in either band. They had different styles. Very different, amusing styles.

Oh. Well, then I'm confuzzled. My songs don't have "the" under the artist.

*shrug*

Well, I think the quality in The Network was also a big joke. Alot of the songs themselves were purely ridiculous, and no one could relate to them, because they weren't really talking about anything, or just didn't make sense. The Network is a very interesting band, and I do like them, but I wouldn't call them brilliant. Just a show of Green Day's humor.

Well, the Network was more 80s...and alot of those types of synth songs from the 80s-- you COULDN'T relate to.:P Either way; I like both bands...

How does that make them not brilliant?

Not every song has to be packed with meanings.

Because they're ridiculous. If a song doesn't mean something, what's the point of it? I like my music to have meaning, not be completely senseless.
