Amanda Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 How about we only post replies relevant to the topic ?ie, leave Avril and Motley Crue where they belong.
Mato Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 Haha OK. I'm suggesting to all of you Rebels with a cause by Gillian G. Gaar. AWESOME book!
Marc. Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 How about we only post replies relevant to the topic ?ie, leave Avril and Motley Crue where they belong.i never said the name Motley Crue anywhere amanda, just pointed out that they have accomplished more and you can learn more from those 3 books then any book titled about green day.
Amanda Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 But the title is favourite Green Day book, so it's pretty irrelevant to the topic starter who is a Green Day (and Avril) fan, and who asked which Green Day book people liked best.Winding someone up and taking the piss out of them isn't canceled out by hitting a button to let me know about it. It's like burning your own house down and then calling the fire brigade.
MusicalDeviant Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I personally enjoyed "Green Day: American Idiots and the New Punk Explosion" by Ben Meyers. His way of writing really drew my attention, besides the new information he provided about Green Day. Many of the other books fail to mention anything about Pansy Division, or really capture the state of the music business outside of Green Day's sphere of influence at given moments in time.
Russian paranoid Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I don't know(I only have Nobody likes you. It's pretty cool=)
HMMbands Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I have two books, but haven't read them yet. I've heard Nobody Likes You is pretty good. I'll start that one soon....hopefully. haha

spark in the night Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I don't like Doug Small's book.it's boring
Isabel Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Green Day: American Idiots and the New Punk Explosion, Ben Myers captures the whole punk movement better... plus he's British, so it talks a lot more about their early European tours as well...He made quite a few blunders about facts, though.
LittleGreenConverse Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 nobody likes you is the bestdoug small's would have been too boring to read if it wasnt about green day.
