Fuzz Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Why do we need another album like something they've already done? Go listen to those albums if you want something like that.
Greenday_Aussie Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Because thats who Green Day are, Punk Rockers, not on again off again punks.Billie Joe Seriously needs a few years after the next album to figure out who he is and what he wants to do...
**nobodylikesyou** Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 The bottom line is Green Day isnt gonna put out shit. It most likely is even harder since AI was so massive. Maybe we will be seeing a release from the Network soon.... And 35 is definately middle aged. He has been doing this for 20 yrs. His songs have always come from the heart, his life seems pretty close to perfect, he is probably just stuck right now. He will get thru it and we will hear something. No need to cry and worry for goodness sakes. At least Billie told us what was going on.
nothingvild Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 it's amazing how much people read into these, and how badly they get it wrong.i keep seeing comments on GDA about how people are sad that he seems depressed or how this looks bad for Green Day. Someone wisely left a comment saying that the same sort of thing happened between nimrod. and Warning. Some article came out with Billie saying they weren't sure what they were working toward, and 6 months later they announced Warning. It all comes into play in due time. Green Day doesn't need to rush to put out an album just because fans are getting bored. They'll put one out when they're happy with what they've got, even if it takes a while to get to that point. That really really calmed me down! I was a bit worried, but I mean, it's not like Billie would go out and say "We've got something different and great now and our new CD is gonna ROCK!". This article kind of shows that he's really emotionally into making this record. I guess we just have to wait and see! But I think it's going to be great!
hardtoconcentrate Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Its nice to hear something about the album-I'm so excited about it, however long it takes!
bat-chen Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 That's a cool news. hope the album will relased not very far away... cuase I'm not getting younger And I didn't knew that 35 it's and middle age God bless Billie Joe and piano sound very intersting, I just hope that there not going to have a U2 album.
parinaz Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 first of all, thanks to those who gave me nice guideline...about PMing, stagnant &stuff.but my last word here:DONT GUESS ANYONE'S LIFE BY SIGHT.
ssnn Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 There is a link, that gives a new twist to what he might have meant by "stagnant".Sounds less depressing - too bad those questions are already send - as it is,it´s pick one. http://www.gigwise.com/news/37586/green-da...-scene-stagnant
TotalBasketCase13 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 ^So he meant that the scene was stagnant, not his writing? Ah, that's way more comforting.
greenbear Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 There is a link, that gives a new twist to what he might have meant by "stagnant".Sounds less depressing - too bad those questions are already send - as it is,it´s pick one. http://www.gigwise.com/news/37586/green-da...-scene-stagnantThanks for that, but I don't think he was referring to the current music scene. I think the article above mis-interpreted his words and he actually meant that his inspiration was "stagnant".
Tremma Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Thanks for posting.Very interesting thing.. mean that what BJ told about "stagnant".
farley drexel hatcher Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 He always said that going into the studio and doing the usual of making a record, picking a single and putting it out wasn't likely to happen for them again, and I don't think the 'stagnant' remark is a big deal. Everybody feels like that from time to time. Plus if i'd acheived all he has in 35 years, I think i'd be feeling slightly middle aged too.

mr.fender Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 thanks for this but i thought they already started to record something
beth hardy Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Green Day..and piano?.... what?..well...at least we know something.sorry for sounding dumb..but what does stagnant mean?
Relavar Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 what does stagnant mean? Not flowing; dull.He means he's stuck, and on a block.
Parley Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 http://dictionary.reference.com/To the people in this thread: use the above and stop asking silly questions.
**nobodylikesyou** Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 thanks for this but i thought they already started to record somethingThe article says they have 45 songs already, so yeah they started recording...
nessa1416 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Great to know he's got writers block. And describing your future album as "stagnant" isn't a very positive note to start off on..
Parley Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 And describing your future album as "stagnant" isn't a very positive note to start off on..He didn't.Can someone just shoot me now?
**nobodylikesyou** Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 i can if you really want me to...but i would rather not.nessie, he just said they were stuck. He never said their new album will suck..
