Well least it'll be intimate.

I want to hear them all on piano.

I love that.

Sucks to hear he's going through a tough time though.

I feel it.

I just can't wait.

It needs to come out, now. All 45 songs.

^ Are you implying that it'll be on Piano? I doubt they're going to actually have the album on piano, just seems so out of character. I'm listing to some earlier stuff and it kind of makes me sad. I don't know why.

I don't think they'll do the whole album on piano.

But I would LOVE to have some songs just on piano.

Or just acoustic.

I would adore those songs.

People should get off his case and let him do what he needs to do. It'll be ok - he'll know when he gets there. :)

rofl at the kid who asked about the next record!

this made my day, since i've been doing nothing but writing essays for most of today!

anyways, hopefully things wont be too "stagnant" soon, but still, im excited!

you guys know that just cause he's writing songs on piano doesn't necessarily mean all the songs will have piano in them right?

he's just writing basically rough drafts of songs on piano instead of acoustic guitar.

Wow - thanks for posting. At least it's something, and I'm glad to hear they are working on it. Like all great things, it'll be worth the wait. :)

Thanks for posting. It does sound as if there's still going to be a lot of waiting, but at least it's something.

i'm so psyched.

Billie Joe has honestly been pissing me off.

"We're trying to find out who we are and what we're feeling; we need themes." STFU.

I understand that he's older, but their roots are being abandoned. Billie's trying to write things that he doesn't know shit about. With forty five songs he should be able to tweak and come up with something good. He's over anylizing to the point where the next record will be forced soulfully, lyrically, and instrumentally.

this doesn't apply to American Idiot - that record was inspired by spontaneity and taken by the reins of thought and organization from there, not starting with.

Oh wow! Some real news on the album. Thanks so much for posting. I'm so excited about it. If Billie's middle-aged then I must be an antique! He's got to be the most gorgeous middle-aged man around - certainly the fittest!

He's not middle aged!

That'll happen when they're 40.

i wouldnt consider 35 as middle-aged. for some, thats a time where they are just figuring out their life and stuff.

Cool, finally a bit of news. :)

I wish they'd come out with something soon though. :P:D

LEAVE BILLIE JOE ALONE, HE IS JUST A HUMAN, HE HAS IDEAS (in the words of chris crocker)

I'm not attacking his personal life or his appearance, I'm attacking what I, the fan and consumer gets - the music which he produces.

The songs won't be on piano--he's just using the piano for writing them.

Imo, if you attack his music, that is his personal life. Didn't he say himself that Green Day was his life. You can't rush these things - he's gonna do it in his own time, and what will result from that will be nothing less than perfection from him. We get the benefit of his art - we aren't owed any of it. We should be grateful.

Too bad. I would love just one piano song. :)

^ 1. Yeah, I know. Its still weird though. He's used a guitar his whole life.

2. oh shut up with the preachy soulful shit.

Posted

Lmao, I certainly will not shut up - don't read it if you don't like what I'm saying. There's no reason to get nasty.

if you heard the way i said it in my head its not quite so nasty as ... joking.

I honestly want Billie to sing a song with him just playing piano, or at least just on acoustic.

God, I would love that so much.

When it gets real intimate is my favorite.

Just so, amazing.

ooo-kay. :) You don't know what a tall order that is - for me to shut up.
