Rolling Stone released a article describing the new Green Day album. The album so far has been written on piano, not guitar. Billie Joe admits that he is still lyrically looking for themes. He wants to figure out what he is feeling right now which is middle aged, and has stated that "Right now it seems stagnant." Apparently the band wants to make sure that they are being honest with themselves. Title and release date are still unknown.

Thanks for that :D It's great to hear that they are hard at work. I do hope that the album is good though coz I would hate it to be a flop for them :/

i've been getting really impatient too, but at least there's some news. I can't wait for it

to come out. Thru every stage of his life, Billie's been able to write lyrics that everyone

can relate to. I don't see that changing now, but I know what he means when he says

things can get stagnant. You look at the world a lot differently when you're 17 than you

do when you're 35, and I am soooo looking forward to hearing what he has to say. He saved me once with

AI, i wouldn't be surprised it he did it again :)

patience...patience....

Sounds interesting. I hope they don't sound 'middle-aged' on the album- AI was great because it was rocky and uptempo, and I'd like the next album to do the same. I really don't want them to start churning out turgid Coldplay-esque trollop. All I can say is good luck guys, and keep up the great worK!

I actually wish their new album would come out later. I actually hate AI because it reminds me of 2004, the year it came out in. 2004 / 2005 = Crappiest days ever!
