fuck, I wanted to be teh first :[

Apparently he did, at first I was all 'NEW ALBUM?!'

but I think it's just for the Instant Karma.

I don't know if it is new, or just (forgive my terms, I don't play drums) doesn't have as many pieces since it needs to be simple for the song.

Depends on how. There are countless ways they could do it that wouldn't have integrity.

Exactly.

They surely like to contradict themselves now.

this is great I may not like the song but this makes me so happy to see.. Is billie joe starting to get a little chubby again? with that jeans jacket and if u would cut his hair like in the warning period I wonder how he would look like... and the thing that makes me even happier is to see that billie aint using any eyeliner

I think they did it despite the prospect, that there would be comments like the one above

Oh the luxury to have something to lose like integrety or respect - instead of your live.

oh my god... im starting to lose all my respect for green day

Losing respect for Green Day because they appeared on a show where they knew millions of people would be made aware of the cause of the song?

Thanks for the video.

That was a great performance. Personally I hate [country] idol shows but I guess publicity was good.

Don't Green Day hate those shows those? If so it goes against their morals.

I was so excited when I found out they were gonna perform, I watch the show anyway so I would have found out sooner or later, they did a GREAT job!, Billie did seem a little sad though, but it was a serious song, I liked the little smile he had at the end though.

I didn't see it (i don't live in america), but i'm just glad that the song was working class hero, so all the viewers will learn about the cause but i still think it's a little sad that Green Day appeared on American Idol.

Even though they are green day, i don't think they represented the band, but the instant karma thing and Amnesty International. So i don't think it matters what tv show they were on.

yea understand what they are doing but i hate it how they have to choose shitty shows to perform on. its times like these that make people think they are sellouts. also i dont like the direction they are going with the whole saving the world thing. what ever happened to those little smartass punks we all loved?

They seem to be becoming a bit U2-ish. I don't like that.

Well, everybody already knew that. They're becoming a bit like U2 has always been...

I don't think their music will ever get quite so bad, thankfully.

Couldn't stay up last night for it so just watched it this morning, over and over again :D

In fact I wa so busy drooling over the keyboard that my husband had to go and make his own breakfast!!

I told him it was all a matter of priorities! :eyebrows:

Loved the song and the performance was spot on. Serious, focused and impressive

I love the way Green Day just get on with performing this whether or not they like the show because its the right thing to do. They know some people will criticize them but the cause is more important than that.

They've put a lot of thought into this from the way they've arranged the music to the way they were dressed to the way they Billie feels the words as he sings and I love them for this.

Well done boys.
