Used Illusion2 Posted April 11, 2007 Share Posted April 11, 2007 i think its ok to like these other bands that come along, but if you suddenly ditch GD just because another band came along then you were never really a TRUE fan in the first place, there a 2 bands that a really important in my life Green day and Guns N Roses, and to give you an example of what i mean, Guns N Roses have been working on an album that they plan to release this year for 13 years, yes 13 years with no new material, but i'm still there being a No 1 fan just the same as i would with Green day if god forbid the same ever happend to them. A true fan IMO is there to the end. Where as bands that i just "like" come and go on my ipod 2 bands will be there till it breaks down your two fave bands are green day and guns n' roses... me too... will you marry me? Emoolly Posted April 11, 2007 Share Posted April 11, 2007 alot of the younger fans (12, 13) are moving on becuase green day isnt on mtv or much music alot anymoreso they are thinking "oh well, green day isnt the cool band to like now, but EVERYONE loves mcr now!"something like that.but most likely when the new album comes out, they will all copme running back , you cant get rid of them teenies. clusterbomb Posted April 11, 2007 Share Posted April 11, 2007 The Poll that GDA posted got me thinking how many fans are Green Day losing to the more youthfull punk bands like My Chemical Romance.Fall Out Boy,Panic at the Disco,HIM,that have big hits out at the moment.u didnt manage to name any punk bands in that question. if u were going to use those bands it should have said are green day losing fans to shit bands like mcr, fob, patd etc.although him have been on the scene for like 10 years.and no i dont think green day are losing fans, ppl just follow trends, at the moment green day have nothing out and arent touring, ppl can like other bands and still be green day fans. BlindedByTheSilence Posted April 11, 2007 Share Posted April 11, 2007 i think people should are entitled to their own opinion. i eman, yeahi have lost a lot of interest in green day so "losing" fans doesn't bother me. especially since i still consider myself a green day fan although i have lost a lot of interest in them. having people choose a newer band over green day doesn't affect me and i don't see why it should be upsetting. of course it bothers me when a badn doesn't win something when they really deserved to but to me but it's not this huge thing, and it's not worth getting upset over.and btw, mcr, fob, him and p!atd are NOT punk bandsbut thanks for making me laugh Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now some of them have just lost interest in Green Day because they've heard it all before, and they want something else! A new album would get some of the fans and teenies back here talking about Billie's hair more than ever.However, I don't think everyone's completely tired of Green Day.
