I dont think GD are losing fans to other shit I mean, "youthful punk bands" I think they're gaining fans like that because critics and such are comparing GD to all those other bands. it makes me sick actually. I dont want GD to be compared to MCR or Fall Out Boy *gag* They're not the same and I dont want bands like Fall Out Boy to be anywhere near GD. ew ew ew

Well youre not a real fan if you just jump on the bandwagon (no pun intended) while a band is famous then move on to the next one when they bring out a new album. Thats like supporting different football teams just because they are winning, its pointless.

Who cares if we're losing Green Day fans to other bands?! It's their loss if they wanna listen to that shit. :)

i think that we aren't "losing fans" but i think ppl are definitely diverting their interests... mainly because they hype from american idiot is over now, so people are losing interest a little bit, and in the meantime they find other people to listen to... like with me, i still love green day, but i've found a lot of other bands i love too- like last summer when red jumpsuit apparatus released their first album, i spent a ton more time listening to that than green day...

but i'll still have days where i'll still sit and listen to warning the whole way through, or just sit and play all green day stuff on guitar or something... it's just that i listen to other stuff a lot too

First of all I thought it's funny that you called Panic! at the disco punk. I'm a huge fan, and I have never heard someone call them that... love it though :)

I don't think we are losing fans, I just might seem so because Green Day isn't that much in the picture today...the bands you are talking about all have a new album out, and new videos too...this place is full of Green Day fans, and all of them like other bands too.

it's one big lovin'

I'm acting weird today, i know

I don't think so.

I mean if those so called fans are actual fans, then they wouldn't leave to the "Dark side"

Anyways, we're not losing the real fans, just the fans that say they are fans.
