they have come close to giving it up before now. I`ve never read or heard of any of them saying they actually "plan" to quit making music. they have joked about band members only ever leaving in a body bag. and have talked about music and green day being the ony thing they know how to do.

I`m full aware that bands who have basically grown up together can end up falling out big time.

but even they cant/couldnt/ and most certainly wouldnt predict at what point they will stop.

sorry, in my view, if they reach the end of the road as a trio, it will end right then and there. not after another tour or album.

I think you are full of baloney. I have heard every interview from them and I never once heard them mention that the next one would be the last.

Billie has 41 yrs until he is 75, i think he can play for a bit longer.

and seemed to be better friends than ever before. (after all they are a triple not a couple)

Okay, you misinterpreted what I meant.

Their next album might kick-ass. If they do one after that it might even be prety good. But if your band stays together too long, it will progressively deteriorate. No band that's been around for more than 20 years is as good as it was in it's glory days. GD got extra lucky, they had a huge break with Dookie and an even bigger one with AI. They won't get a third. I'm all for them staying together if they are making good music but when they hit mid 40's it will be a very hard task to achieve.

I think they are going to do something around the area of what they did with "Warning"... Billie said "Warning for me was the light at the end of the tunnel" I think they are going to do something maybe softer, althought it could go completely the other way and be a mixture of emotions like Insomniac and Nimrod but anyways, I dont think they should put out a 3-disc set because it would be a little stupid (they might do it at the end of their courier though) and maybe going and doing another Rock-Opera wouldn't receive as much recognition as "American Idiot"
