Do people usually do their own voices for the simpsons? because I wonder if they actually did their own voices that would be awesome!

Yes, they do.

Almost always.

With guest stars, the Simpsons generally do NOT beg people to come on, they either put in the offer take it or leave it, or wait to be approached. If they didn't have Green Day's voices, they wouldn't get someone else to do them, they simply wouldn't have them in it is my guess. Because this is something to go down in Simpsons' history, they'd want everything perfect.

Maybe their part in the movie is as big as in the trailer.

Also, the producers wouldn't want to get sued for using someone else's likeness without their permission. So I think Green Day (or their management) must know they have a small part in the movie.

It looks like it's gonna be like the titanic, them playing as the ship goes down.

ha, when you said that, i instantly thought of "ha ha you're dead".

"when you're ship is going down, i'll go out and paint the town." :P

that's so awesome they're in the simpsons movie though, i love the special guest episodes in the simpsons, they always manage to take the royal piss.

Yes, it is Green Day you can tell bye the singer having black hair, a red tie, black suit, and singing. You can tell Mike by the bass, pants, and the fact he's behind Billie, and Tre bye the drums, spiked brown hair and the fact that he's with the other 2. All and all it's obviously Green Day.

WELL, I LOVE THE SIMPSONS, but in other hand... I heard BJ said that he loves the show too, but he won´t agree with that kind of promotion for a band... I left that for bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers or REM he saids... I know it was in 2000 maybe, but.... I think he was right!

But for what I heard.... this GD appearance on TSMovie it`s insignificant.

not to take a giant shit on everyone's dreams, and I wouldn't waste the 7 bucks the first weekend. What if that isn't in the movie? I have seen countless trailers and there was stuff in the trailer that didn't make the movie. When it goes down to crunch time some one would say...we need to cut off about 2 minutes to make the time right...I mean it would be cool...but if you are not a Simpsons fan don't waste 7 bucks to see maybe 8 seconds of a cartoon Green Day. Movies are going to DVd alot faster than they used to. Then just spend maybe 2.50 for a rent. Or hell check youtube after wards.

I'm VERY sure they do, like when Smashing Pumpkins were in one episode, U2, or even N*Sync.

It is almost certainly supposed to be them, whether they gave permission or not, although i doubt they'd be allowed to use it if they hadn't...although i'd hate to think of what they're trying to say by putting them on a sinking ship and throwing Billie off! :D lol. Knowing Green Day though, they'd probably love it.

Doesn't mean they'll talk or anything in it though.....they can still give permission and be in the movie, but it might not be a speaking part.

Of course they won't have a significant role; why would they?

The Simpsons are a bigger part of popular culture than Green Day, that's not even debatable.

They don't NEED to have guest stars throughout a whole movie to have it be exciting. Most likely they'll have a minute of screentime.

Which is good, this is the Simpsons movie not the Green Day movie.

When they have bands on, they usually do have just a few lines of dialogue at least.

Usually it goes something like:

Homer: Hello (celebrity guest star)

Celebrity: Hey there

Homer: (some joke)

Celebrity: (continues the joke)

(band continues playing song)
