Oasis says Green Day ripped them off

Noel's attitude brings Oasis down. He probably only just heard the American edit version of the two songs mixed and thought, "Eh, they stole my song"... and yes... two years later.

No one should even pay attention to NOEL GALLAGHER in the media. He has always been a pussy with to much in his head, he always takes water over his head the poor bastard.

No one should mind him really

I like some of Oasis's music but their attitude towards other bands has always stunk. Look at the ridiculous scrapping with Robbie Williams, Coldplay, even Eminem and 50 cents when Noel Gallagher said "Eminem is an idiot and I find 50 Cent the most distasteful character I have ever crossed in my life. I'm not saying they are directly responsible, but that's how you end up with these gangs of youths stabbing people. Kids are so thick these days. They're easily influenced." Green Day is merely another addition to his "hit" list, and as he seems to disrespect everyone and everything in the music business, I find his continual bitching on the abilities of other musicians simply mind numbingly boring and ultimately worthless.

Now, I like Oasis, but they've been out fo the spot light for quite some time now, so Noel probably just mouthing off his mouth (like always) so Oasis can get back in the spotlight and so they can be on the list of 'Bands that Criticize Green Day'.

Second of all, their are only a certain number of chords on a guitar that you can play together and make them sound good. I mean, I'm like 99.9% sure that other bands out there have used those same chords in their song

and their songs sound like Wonderwall. Oasis is just picking on Green Day because they know Green Day is better than them and always will be... Simple..

This opinion expressed should be taken very seriously. After all, isn't Noel Gallagher known as the Voice of Reason and Intelligence?

No, wait...he's actually known as a horse's ass.

^ That was a good one.

Anyhoo, I've never cared for that guy's opinion. I always found his music boring, and his comments rude and obnoxious. I mean, talking that way about your daughter, c'mon. He just has no respect for people, which is why he never gains any from others.

Some of Noel's earlier comments such as the infamous Blur remark really crossed the line. Now, few on the receiving end of the Gallagher's barbs take it seriously and many of their quips are innocuous, even amusing like calling their friend Chris Martin a "geography teacher" or Robbie Williams a "fat dancer". :)

Oasis depends on that larger- than- life obnoxious rockstar persona they have cultivated over the years. They've mellowed but without their "fuck you" swagger, they would be like watching paint dry. That, plus their handful of hits from the mid-nineties is still filling auditoriums. As justcause said earlier in the thread, if Noel let his music do the talking these days- he could shut his gob!

I absolutely love Oasis and I love Noel. He's fucking great. What an attitude. He's the funniest man on rock and he writes these amazing songs. Legend.

And please stop saying that Oasis doesn't matter anymore. Have you heard the latest album 'Dont believe the truth'? It's brilliant. They're on top again.

Who gives a shit if Noel thinks that way. Just ignore it.

BOBD sounds like Wonderwall, yeah. That's true. But so what?

I forgot the Blur stuff, I don't know why when the tabloids were full of it, but yes, I agree if Noel let his music do the talking these days, - he could shut his gob!

Noel Gallager is know for talking trash just to get his band some publicity. Remember that Oasis just put out a Greatest Hits CD a few weeks ago. Just before the release date, he berated THE BEATLES becuase there was a Beatles CD coming out that same day. If Noel Gallager really had a problem with Boulevard, he would have said something when the song was a #1 single.

'Nuff said.

:P:D ROFLMAO..

like the chord arrangement of "VI, I, V, IV" hadn't been used before their Wonderwall.

pathetic!

this arrangement is one of the most basic ones you can get.

the chords of degree 1,4,5 and 6 are the most common chords available, and mixing them up to different orders is used in songs like When i come around and What's my age again (I, V, VI, IV).

there's nothing revolutionary about wonderwall
