Jesusatejamie
Hmm.. I'm not sure about thisSometimes I think it's great but sometimes (mainly when I see GD socks) I feel that they have indeed sold out.. On the popularity scale, I see them about 6/10.. ten being like, popularest.. .. mainly because the other 4 are into rap and shit.. sadly, some of the 6 are teenie boppers.. so out of the 6, 4 are teenies and 3 are people like us.. so like... yeah4 add 3 is 7.So if it was 4% teenies and 3% us, then how could it only be 6% popular? :whistling:

Nedra
I think they're becoming more un-popular again, now that AI has come and gone. Most people have moved on to the new bands.

farley drexel hatcher
I think it's because with AI, they were huge, so huge that to a lot of people they were a phase. A lot of those people will like a band while they're famous and then move on to the next thing. But i think between real fans they're still pretty popular, i mean, they always were popular. Up until a few years i had no clue whatsoever about music but i knew who green day were, even before i ever got into them. I think a lot of peoplearound here still seem into them. Trotsky
Green Day is probably one of the most popular artists that plays real music. Although I think with The Black Parade, My Chem will surpass them as the most mainstream rock band. But even GD and MCR don't compare to fucking pop-stars and rappers. Michelle7107
I guess I'm one of those 'fans who came with AI but stayed and turned into real fans'But yeah on topic, Green Day isn't very popular anymore. No one I know likes them.. In fact they all say they hate them.It weird because, like you said, they keep winning all of these awards and I never see anyone that actually likes them...But yeah there were a lot of people only liked them because they were popular. Now that they're aren't so much anymore they've all moved on, and Green Day has lost a lot of 'fans'

Theres no age on taste.9 year olds probably don't understand the story of AI and what it means ect, but if they like the tune thats fine. You know, you don't have to understand a songs meaning to like it. And who knows, when this kids older he may understand and still love them. Claire's isn't for five year olds, its just a place to get earings, bracelets, wristbands ect, cheaply.
