Megan Lee
Am i the only one that snickered a bit in my head when i heard "make everyday a green day"? I think thats a cute play on words, considering the origin of green days. nah, I snickered, too. lol. Exactly, it doesn't really matter, who starts, as a matter of fact things gotta change, if we plan to keep this planet alive for awhile. We, the industrial nations (who are actually only a few people compared to the entire world population) managed to bring nature on the verge of collapsing in just 100 years, which really is a very short period, compared to the age of the planet, through our ruthless behaviour.I heard it's more like 20 - 30 years that our world will start to collapse but still, it's insane how much we've managed to polute this world in such a short amount of time. farley drexel hatcher
no i didnt mean to be metaporical or deep or anything.he just sounds girly.Ha i noticed that; before AI he spoke in a deep, soft voice and ever since he's spoken really high pitched. I didn't notice it in this video though...
netty
bit of a difference between saying somebody sounds like a douche and saying they sound girly. dont think he sounds that much different from what he always has. his singing voice has changed some what but not his speaking voice. emotion sickness
man, i don't know why everyone's getting so upset about this. why aren't they allowed to care about the world they live in? i mean, come on, they all have kids; i think it's completely within their right to try and contribute to saving the environment. nobody wants their children to have to live in a wasteland when they're 35.as for everyone who's calling them sellouts and all that crap...seriously, grow up. just because they're concerning themselves with more important topics of late doesn't mean they're changing who they are. billie says that he's tired of not caring. so who are we to object?on a further note, i completely agree with billie_is_hott. well said. billie_is_hott
on a further note, i completely agree with billie_is_hott. well said.thanks. and u wanna no somethin else?? i said all that and im only 13. i dont no much about global warming and our oil addiction, but i do no that greenday got me introduced to what everybody else was listening to(i used to always listen to country, and now i like rock alot better) and i will support them in whatever they want to do(as long as they keep singing) and u should too. PunkGraffiti
It's fantastic that they are working with NDRC to help solve this. Even if it did look like they were reading off of a sign in the video.
Ms. Whirly
I would like them to be focusing on their album, but this is really a great cause. And think of all the people that didn't know very much about this issue before Green Day got involved. What's sad is that i saw an interview with tre back in 95 when his daughter was born and he metioned something about global warning being a problem and how ramona was gonna grow up with it...its been more than a decade and its still a problem. St_jimmy_1039
I think what they are doin is a good thing. i mean whatever Bush does John Howard follows so it might get the Australian govt to do something about global warming.
sydneygirl
I'm so proud of Billie, Mike and Tre for getting involved in this. They are all dads and they want their children to inherit a cleaner, healthier world, and if they are in the position to apply some pressure to the government and encourage their fans to do so also, well good on them for doing it. Only good can come from it, and it's true that if the US makes some changes for the better, other countries will follow suit. I certainly hope that John Howard pays attention and makes positive changes, too.Green Day don't to claim to be able to single-handedly change the world, that's why they're asking for our support, and we should give it to them. Well done, guys. You have my support!
child
Yup, they got my support, too.But I think it's all I can do because I don't live in America and have nothing to do with America.

julespunk04
Exactly the environment does not come in coutries well put! I've always wanted to buy a hybrid car...I mean if we don't do something now then the environment will be destroyed in a couple of years time..I'm glad that their doing this , somebody needs to speak out about it and get kids to listen...and if it is Green Day well then yay for them I'm sad that they put most of the focus on Billie...again. I mean Mike and Tre had two lines! And it seemed very scripted... :/ But oh well more power to them..GREEN DAY + NRDC = AWESOME!!

allenxtreme
Well at least they're doing something good for a change instead of encouraging ass wanking little teenies to flame America and wear eyeliner...yeah they're not cashing in on endorsements and the lark, like that pretentious twat Bono..fuckin hate him...So hopefully this will make a difference, if not, at least they tried...sort of, after their recent venture with U2 and that STUPID cover song video they made, I thought all my respect for them had vanished, but alas, they're doing something worthwhile for a change. Swing&Destroy
I'm not angry that they're supporting a good cause, I just dont understand it.And its not so much that they're supporting it, it's the format that they're doing it in. It's so much like a cheesy television comercial. I just dont understand why they couldn't have done it in a way that's more "green day". If you were to go back 10 years, they would never have done this, and I dont understand why they're doing it now. This commercial and the way they're acting is reminding me of a has-been rock band trying to claw at the last inches of fame they have left. And Green Day isn't as has been rock band.It just seems kind of lame to me.I understand what you're saying, I'm thinking the same kind of thing. Maybe it's cause it's different and it's not the kind of thing we're used to seeing them in. :/
