is it just me who feels kinda sad that Billie's reached this stage in his career where things he previously wouldnt have thought of doing at all, he now doesnt think twice about doing, providing the price is right?

I know i'm probably bringing a barrage of abuse upon myself, but i've been a massive fan of Green Day since i was doing a paper round when Dookie came out and it got me through all the early mornings and confused feelings i had to deal with, and i'm starting to feel more and more sad by Billie's attention whore attitude. My respect goes to Mike and Tre who seem to just spend their downtime with their family and other bands.

And no, i'm not gonna lie and say its gonna stop me buying Green Day records, its not. It just makes me, well, sad i guess.

How do you know he's getting well paid for this? Yeah, it seems like they're using their sex appeal to sell clothes but that's just part of the business. Besides, the clothing line is more Adrienne's thing and to me it just seems like Billie is being the sweet, supportive husband. And if Mike or Tre had their own clothing line they needed to promote who's to say they wouldn't be doing the same sexy ad thing?

Ok, so we solved the shirt situation.

But people, its not a fat roll. Its the way he is positioned. I have taken photographs of people and just by moving them into a certain position, they look super fat. Its just the way he is laying.

I dont understand why you all think it is too sexual. It is not sexual in any way. And like I said when I first posted on here, they look distant, as if they dont know that the other person is their. So, its not very sexual at all. Its very modern art if you ask me. If they werent noticeable people(which they obviousbly are), I would think that the picture was just a regular photography. But we obviousbly know who they are. If it wasnt them, then nobody would be making a big deal about the picture, so why are we making a big deal about it being Billie and Adrienne ? I dont get it.

And I dont get why people are saying that he is too into his fame or whatever. Well, so what if he is? Good for Billie. It was bound to happen sometime. I mean look how long they have been a band. Who the fuck cares what kind of pictures they take? I mean it is not like he is lying there naked, he has on a shirt and a black shirt on top that I have seem him wear before. He is also with his wife, whom he loves. I don't understand why some people are saying he is selling out. He is supporting his wife's and his clothing line. I don't see the problem. If this is the most sexually scandales thing that Billie Joe every does than I think its going to be ok. It is going in Punk Confidential not some magizine that is going to gain him a lot of publicity and fame. And I think that he wanted to make a statement, he wanted it to be controversal, and he wanted people to remember that we are still in a horrible war that is not going to change unless more people are willing to do something to handle the situation.

We could just be over analysing it. We haven't even seen the other pictures yet or the article, so we don't know what type of message they're trying to get across. i agree with you. i liked the old days too where it was just about the music. now its more like...idk more like the fame has gone 2 his head more. green day is still my favorite band of all time, but yeah it makes me a little sad too.

I think really before I can judge the sincerity of the photoshoot, I'll have to see more of the pictures. I'm sure that all of them don't involve the both of them sitting there looking all sexy and stuff.... there have to be a few of them laughing or whatever. Either way, I can' t wait to see it. There's a part of me that doesn't like Adrienne getting all into the spotlight, but then there's a part of me that loves the fact that she gets to do something she loves. And I don't really think she's using Billie's celebrity status as something to fall back on. If you think about it, the magazine they shot for isn't a really popular magazine. I guess I'm just trying to say it's not like they did the photoshoot for People or anything.
