Regardless if its a picture of Billie and Adie, I think it's completely stupid to compare them to John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Firstly, John was in a band called 'The Beatles'

Billie Joe is in 'Green Day'

Yoko Ono was an avant-garde artist in Japan before she met John, and a pioneer to punk rock at that.

I just don't like it when people try to take something so historically authentic such as John and Yoko's bed in for peace & recreate it into something cheap and not as brilliant.

I mean, everyones saying that Sex is what they're trying to sell. I think it was more of an attempt of projecting the image of Making Love, rather than saying that Adeline clothing = sex.

The problem with that analogy is this, love isn't lust. Sure, John and Yoko made love, and weren't at all private about it, but they were holding hands in bed, writing songs, and smoking cigs -- no makeup. There was nothing glamorous or sexually provactive about it. It was fitting for the time, and it made sense.

Adrienne does indeed look beautiful, I just wish artistically, it could have been a bit more original.

It's very rare that you see any of Billies chest/stomach he is always covered up in photo shoots.

I rekon that this photo is awesome and it is sexy.

I think it is a muscle shirt, because those tattoos can be seen in a regular muscle shirt, they are up pretty high.

His chest and his face are too different shades (or at least I think so) so it just looks like a muscle shirt.

I take black and white photos alot, and skin always tends to blend in with black annd white, but not as much as it is for Billie..

I am super white and my skin doesnt even look like that on film. So I think it is a white muscle shirt, and I think his skin looks two toned, which is almost impossible unless he is diseased or something. But yeah, just my opinion

Yeah, but I think this picture is meant to be provocative - I think the John and Yoko analogy is what jumps out at you, and whether it's appropriate or not is the provocation.

Green Day had a very striking photoshoot for Rolling Stone under the banner of 'Working Class Heroes', which was putting them alongside the theme of Lennon's song of the same name - pictured against an industrial backround; interestingly enough, that's in Adeline's News/Media section, because Billie's wearing Adeline in that one also.

I think it's a pity to take what's actually a pretty appropriate analogy for Green Day and devalue it by making it a photo-op for a clothing line, even if this new one is tongue-in-cheek, as it appears to be.
